Nested compression springs are multiple #CompressionSprings assembled together, typically placed one inside the other or side by side, to work as a single unit. This design allows for greater load capacity or variable spring rates within a compact space. 🌀

As the name suggests, rectangular wire #CompressionSprings are made using wire with a rectangular cross-section instead of the more common round wire. This type of spring is 𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙡𝙮 stiffer for the same space, which means you can reach much higher forces. 🌀

Increases in temperature will progressively decrease the #TensileStrength and Young's modulus of an alloy. What does that 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 mean? At high temperatures, metal springs (or any components) may weaken, stretch more easily and be more prone to failure under load! 🌀
