Studying them creates the emotion.

Looking at sigils or geometry, signals synapses in the brain to activate? The drawing itself igniting the neuropathway in the brain that corresponds to specific emotion. Not entities, but a preset pathway of inate possibly dormant behaviors mapped out to match the seal.
