So much more nuanced than that.. im sure Tom ultimately takes responsibility and owns the failure. I’m just pointing out that for her to act like the new guy supersedes Tom’s fatherhood and give him zero acknowledgment no matter how perfect or imperfect he was is just on brand imo. Theres often more to the situation than just being absent. Pursuing your God given talents to the furthest extent possible is what each of is called to do. It is morally good to completely max out what you are capable of. This has nothing to do with money brother. I hope you find something worth pursuing with so much devotion that you recognize the divine grace God has bestowed to be given the opportunity to pursue it. In the end you can make an argument for either. All she needed to do was acknowledge his fatherhood.. not too difficult.

Maybe I’m cynical because of my experience with a child that I have. 8mo old and completely pushed away from him by his mom. I’ve basically had to choose between ignore it or just hang up everything I’ve worked years to build to get a job and give some work life balance “stability”. Who knows maybe I’ll be wrong but none I’d rather die on the field.

It’s crazy how in 2026 with all the “causes” these women care about something like this would’ve been endearing. I dealt this with my child’s mother. Going above and beyond because I cared only to eventually be thought of as manipulation? Lack of fathers and social media have ruined many of this generation of women. Quite sad.
