They will attack the ottomans and also cannot rise to be a pan-Islam leader since they want to kill everyone else. And that’s how we got Saudi Arabia. Americans eventually took over and kept the same logic and the Saudis became their client. Of course, the two holiest cities in Islam Mecca and Medina were in Saudi Arabia, and they became fabulously rich in oil. They used that money and geographical legitimacy to make Wahhabism go global. Osama bin Laden btw wasn’t some strange desert man he was born and raised in Saudi Arabia amongst the elite. 15 of the 19 Hijackers were Saudi. But of course we invaded Afghanistan and Iraq.
