⚖️𝗜𝗣 𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 & 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 iTNT Hub's Tamil Nadu Technology Transfer Facilitation Centre (TNTTFC) conducted an insightful session on IP Essentials & Innovation Protection Strategy on May 14, 2026, led by Ms. swapna sundar, Legal Strategist and Senior Partner, IP DOME IP Strategy Advisors. Through practical examples, industry case studies, and real-world applications, the founders explored the importance of protecting innovations through Patents, Trademarks, Copyrights, Designs, and Geographical Indications, while also understanding how different IP frameworks work together to strengthen business value and competitive advantage. The masterclass highlighted critical aspects of IP strategy, including understanding the fundamentals of intellectual property laws in India, identifying patentable innovations and filing requirements, and protecting brand identity through trademarks. It also covered ownership rights, and publishing agreements, along with the use of industrial designs and product innovation. 𝗢𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 $𝟭 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴💰 We are delighted to celebrate a significant milestone by Blunav Technoloiges, an iTNT Hub incubated startup, on raising $1 million in seed funding from Piper Serica. Founded by Mr. Suseendar Marimuthu and Mr. Cherukuru Sridharan, Blunav is building next-gen airport operations technology platform that integrate critical airport functions including flight operations, gate and bay allocations, passenger systems, and commercial activities into a unified and scalable solution. The platform has already been deployed at Chennai International Airport under the Airports Authority of India Startup India initiative. The newly raised capital will support team expansion, product development, and the scale-up of deployments across airports in India and international markets over the next 12–24 months. Addressing the participants during the inaugural session, Ms. Vanitha Venugopal, CEO, iTNT Hub emphasised the importance of integrating design elements right from the beginning of product development, encouraging startups to adopt design principles at the idea validation stage itself to build scalable and market-ready products. She also highlighted that iTNT Hub has empanelled design and marketing experts to support the startups, along with providing engineering and prototype development support through ecosystem partners. The iTNT team further oriented the startups on the TN-HAPP acceleration program and product requirements for the upcoming phases.
