The most dangerous, common, and overlooked problem in the world: Chronic stress. It’s why you feel exhausted, anxious, and like your brain is constantly on high alert. Here’s Andrew Huberman’s 7-step protocol to beat stress (for good)

People-pleasing isn't about other people. It never was. It's about controlling what they think of you. So you never have to feel the fear of being seen wrong. The smile that arrives before you've decided how you feel. The yes that comes out before you've checked inside. That's not generosity. That's management. And somewhere underneath all that managing, there's a person who learned, very early, that love wasn't safe unless it was earned.

You’re not responsible for other people’s bad moods. You don’t have to fix it. Soothe it. Carry it. They’re allowed to feel what they feel. And you’re allowed to stay grounded without absorbing the weight.

The most damaging places rarely feel dangerous. They feel familiar. Like home. Like duty. Like love. They ask — in silence, in repetition — that you be a little less than you are. Speak a little softer. Need a little less. And you do it. But you can't grow in a place that asks you to disappear. Protecting yourself from that isn't rude. It's the most honest thing you can do.

You think feeling it will break you. Look what not feeling has already taken. The friendships you kept at arm's length. The opportunities you passed on because your nervous system was already full. The decade you spent being fine. Fine is expensive.

The fastest way to abandon yourself is to become useful to everyone else and invisible to yourself.

Your growth will cost you some people. The ones who preferred the version of you who overgave, stayed quiet, and made them comfortable. Keep growing anyway. You’re not here to be easy to love.

One reason boundaries feel so hard: You were raised to believe other people’s comfort mattered more than your truth.

You know what’s exhausting about being the responsible one? No one checks if you’re okay. They just assume you are. Being the strong one is overrated. Being cared for isn’t.

I’m done calling burnout “success.” I’m done calling exhaustion “normal.” I’m done calling overgiving “kindness.” I’m ready for boundaries.

Learned this the hard way. Overextending yourself doesn’t make people appreciate you more.

I don’t trust people who say, “Just be confident.” Most of them have never questioned their worth. Give me someone who's untangled who they are from what they achieve. Who knows how uncomfortable it is to exist without proving anything. Because they stopped earning their value. And started remembering it.

This is what healing from people-pleasing actually looks like: Letting someone be disappointed in you And realizing you’re still okay.
