🧐 So... I did benchmarks on the settings from this post... and the results are not what you expect them to be
FPS is the same with the settings disabled and enabled.
However idle latency is better with the disabled option.
Default value for REP-MOV is off, others on.

@AvallonTweaks imlc latency benchmarks are extremely consistent and would give the same results across multiple restarts with the same bios settings, so yeah. There's an actual difference

🧪 I tested FSO vs FSE aka native fullscreen
3-5% FPS improvement with Fullscreen Exclusive vs Fullscreen Optimizations (default mode on Windows)
Latency measured with Presentmon between FSO and FSE is basically the same 2.2ms.
⚠️The only downside of FSE is long alt-tab

@itsCatGamer It's not real full screen because true FSE doesn't exist in dx12. Even if you have it set to full screen it is a modified version of windowed.

Oh, forgot to mention, FSE doesn't work on Fortnite. Apparently it's because of EAC, so your game is stuck forever in FSO. That means when you put "Fullscreen" mode, it's actually not real fullscreen but windowed fullscreen.
At least you can try it for other games.

@VivaLaZTZ You can check by trying to adjust sound with your keyboard. If you see the mixer popup while in game, you are not running FSE. Apparently it's also cuz of DX12 the games cannot be in FSE. I couldn't get Stellar Blade to run no matter the settings.

Final step is to manually check "Disable fullscreen optimizations" for the game's exe.
