Last time we had “Nationals” in Canada it was in 2016. Canadians have had to travel to the US for 10 years for NAIC - our shared International event. Toronto has capacity at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre for the event, let’s give it a try. Please! Not only is Canada very safe, the conversion rate is great for most foreign players in comparison to the higher USD. A super cool city, tourist friendly, and lots of family activities. I’m sure some will complain about needing a passport, but that might artificially resolve the player cap issue we are dealing with instant sellouts of events. Even then, Toronto Regionals sold out for the past few years, and I don’t see some paperwork holding players back from an “international” International Championships. My true vote would actually go to Montréal, but I don’t think TPCI is gonna make all of their signage in French, have French staff, and merchants will not have the needed 1/1 French versions available for sale so it becomes a logistical nightmare. I stand by what I said earlier. Lucian/Harlequin feels so much better than judge. And I found a deck I like and enjoy playing, and it feels like it has comeback potential! Hurray

I have come to the conclusion that Harlequin and Lucian are better than judge. The ability to redraw cards from judge is so bad. Even if it’s only 3 cards, they are guaranteed to be 3 new cards from the top of the deck.

Good luck at NAIC everyone that got in. I just can’t justify spending the funds for that big of a trip this time around.

For people who played in League Cups this weekend, how did the new top cut rule feel? Did anyone who entered in the bottom half of the bracket end up winning their cup?

@ChipRichey Due to the new rule on who gets choice for first turn and with seeding, I was unsure how to proceed. TO didnt want to wait and ruled loser of game 2 gets to choose the turn order. Might be the first to see this type of penalty in the new rule set lol

@ChipRichey This happened after time was called, and the Remaining prizes meant I could not issue double prize penalties because the player that used archer would win with their attack, could be considered a “malicious” misplay. Sudden death rules applied. But-
