@itsNAGamers @pcgamer Yes, a horribly mismanaged project with huge scope creep and 2 engine changes. Resets are defo not the issue there tho.

The first two episodes of the new Yellowstone spin-off series Dutton Ranch have premiered on Paramount+ and the show almost immediately addressed the Kevin Costner-sized elephant in the room. bit.ly/49Ce78h

AAA “advanced access” is just launch-day FOMO with a price tag most of the time. That’s why 007 First Light doing it as a free pre-order upgrade actually stands out. One version, no deluxe paywall, 24-hour early access included. Crazy concept: reward players for buying early without turning the standard edition into second-class treatment.

BF6 players… start recording your chaos. 🎮🔥 PC Gamer is looking for wild Battlefield 6 clips, and this is exactly the kind of game built for it: insane vehicle plays, last-second revives, squad wipes, rage moments, funny fails, and those “how did that even happen?” deaths. They’re also giving players a shot at a $500 prize, so if you’ve got a crazy Battlefield 6 moment saved, don’t let it sit on your hard drive. Upload your clips here: pcgamer.com/clips/

1047 Games may have just found the lane Titanfall fans have been begging EA to reopen. The Splitgate studio is reportedly working on “Empulse,” a pre-alpha movement shooter with grappling hooks, wall-running, boost pads, and giant mech combat. That is a very obvious pitch: take Splitgate’s movement DNA, mix in Titanfall energy, and aim straight at the audience EA has left waiting for years.

Metroid Dread Dev Hit With Layoffs Right As Its New Game Tries To Come Back The studio behind Metroid Dread and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow just confirmed job cuts right as Blades of Fire is trying to get a second life on Steam. No headcount was given, which makes this even messier. The game already underperformed, took a major write-off hit, and now its big 2.0 update has to carry the comeback while the studio is cutting staff.

Xbox CEO Asha Sharma asked us if it should be Xbox or XBOX. 65% of people chose caps lock, and now the brand is officially shouting. Is this a bullish return to form for its 25th anniversary or very clever engagement bait? ✖️🎮 windowscentral.com/gaming/xbox-ha…

Here we go again. Fortnite’s Overwatch crossover has fans doing side-by-side comparisons, and apparently Tracer and DVa are getting more attention than the actual skins. It’s funny how one character model can instantly turn into a whole gaming debate. Are fans overanalyzing this, or did Fortnite actually make them look better?

@pcgamer Smart roadmap, but the vague timelines are the real test. Fix the basics, improve co-op, then expand the world, just don’t let the hype sink before the big updates arrive.

Xbox has a weird login problem right now. Some players say their consoles are rejecting the correct password, and Xbox Support has now confirmed it’s investigating the issue. That’s not a small annoyance if it locks you out of your profile, Game Pass, cloud saves, or digital library. The current workaround is resetting your password or going passwordless, but that still puts the burden on players.

Sony is testing a PS5 widget that finally shows what people are actually playing, and the list says a lot. The beta Welcome Hub feature shows weekly player totals by country, with Fortnite way out in front in the U.S., followed by GTA 5, Minecraft, Call of Duty, Apex, Marvel Rivals, Battlefield 6, and ARC Raiders. Not concurrent numbers like Steam, but still way more transparent than console platforms usually get. The awkward part? It screams live-service dominance on PlayStation. That’s going to fuel the strategy debate.

@RinoTheBouncer Players paid for the game, so it shouldn’t become useless just because servers shut down. Offline access, server support, or a refund seems fair, that’s consumer protection, not anti-innovation.

California lawmakers have advanced Protect Our Games Act🚀 ✅Approved by a state Assembly committee; moving to a full Assembly vote ✅Would apply to new games sold starting January 1, 2027 ✅Prevents companies from making paid games unplayable by simply shutting down servers ✅Companies must give 60 days' notice before a shutdown and provide one of three solutions: 1. Offline version of the game 2. Patch allowing the game to run without official servers 3. Full refund to the player ✅Stop Killing Games campaign advocates for consumer ownership ✅Entertainment Software Association (ESA) opposes it, arguing the law could stifle game development and innovation ✅The ESA failed the committee vote What are your thoughts on this matter?😎
