@Frawzt 100% - just simple customisation available for our pre-existing models we have had for over a decade

In my opinion, character customization should boil down to choosing hair lengths and facial hair lengths. Including the decision to go bald/clean shaven. Other than that, we should all still be given a specific model that is tied to our steam id.

Lots of discussion surrounding the updated Rust player model. Your model is updated, what your player looks like on Staging now will likely change for release in June. On the roadmap, we do have player customization scheduled to be released Q4 2026, allowing you to change your appearance.

Unfortunately while preparing to go live again today I've received the sad news that my very close and beloved grandfather has passed away. 💔 I am beyond devastated. Because of this, I am not sure when / if I'll be back on @theburntpeanut's Rust server. I've played my absolute heart out the last month, and even after more than 350 hours streamed I was preparing myself for yet another massive, final build project to be submitted for the build contest on the server. This, unfortunately has to wait for another time. I am extremely grateful to have been a part of the server and want to thank every creator I've met in this journey. The faith, you all had in me to build homes, boats, bases, kittens, and last but not least the giant nut base. I hope my builds, presence and laughs have showed you all what Rust can be, and is about. I might be back on the server here and there, on, off stream more likely as I will be taking time to myself and spend time with my family. I am sad I can't give this the final push / grind I've been wanting to give it towards the final day upcoming Wednesday. It is what it is. Thank you all ❤️

@Protox0 @FacePunch Frog Boots weren't a "drop". They were gifted to early access participants as a thanks (it says as much in their description) - they should never be reissued.

Should @facepunch just sell "limited" drops as DLC for a big sum and donate part of the proceeds? (or a similar variations, blue frog boots, red hobo barrel, dark navy ninja suit, etc) I always see people requesting these. Which one would you choose, if you don't have them? #Rust

@TheRustyOldMan @SerWinterGaming Frog boots is a special case, that was literally gifted by the developers to early access participants, they for me are separate from Twitch Drops.

@SerWinterGaming @itsYakov I really hope it doesn't happen. Keep the integrity of those items where they are. If you (not you just in general) didn't earn the legacy boots, you don't get them.

Me and @itsYakov put together this proposal one time. It was for drops to go on sale one year after their drop had ended. $5 a pop. Creator, artist, Facepunch and Steam get a cut, the consumer gets their skin. Everyone wins. But FP are unable to resell drops due to licensing agreements 😔
