🔴⚪️ Arsenal are reportedly planning a major summer rebuild after reaching the Champions League final. Sporting director Andrea Berta is said to be targeting big names including Julián Álvarez, valued around £130m, alongside Anthony Gordon, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Enzo Fernández. Arsenal could also allow players like Ben White, Leandro Trossard or Gabriel Martinelli to leave, while Piero Hincapié is being lined up as a defensive addition. @habs_rob @beingblackie_ Hmph worked out really well not having a player who naturally drops in defence like Ø and is not afraid to push the ball forward and can hold up better than Zubi for when we were up against City x2, Southampton and Bournemouth 🤷🏾‍♂️

@ArsenalAgenda14 @beingblackie_ That’s fair, I’d like to see more of MLS in that position, but we can only play who’s in front, we could also argue that we didn’t have Ø and Timber playing which would of helped stretch their midfield and create space.

@its_Ninelmo @beingblackie_ No it felt better because the midfield is more balanced when we have Rice or Zubi at 6 not trying to force two 6’s to play 8. Berge was also out for Fullham. Not exactly a good litmus test

My understanding is Pep Guardiola will step down at the end of the season with Enzo Maresca all but agreed to take charge next season. Let me explain. Everyone at their club knows this is the direction of travel and they have gone as far as to talk about naming a stand in his honour. The reason it has not been reported as of yet is because every single credible journalist fears Pep and his erratic nature of making a U-Turn “out of the blue” and you cant attach your lifes work and reputation to such a erratic yet genius human being without being 100000% sure and I respect that. In summary, City have prepared for life without him with everything in place hoping he says “ we cannoh replace me” The direction of travel is for him to step down and they have agreed an in-depth package with Maresca. They will deny it and I respect that but… Let the chips fall where they may.
