While supporting Naivasha/Kisumu/ Malava SGR in principle, why launch Kisumu/Malava before completing construction of Naivasha/Kisumu? Shouldn't all available resources be made available to one section at a time?

@Asamoh_ @omeleivincent Fuck you. Raila's death was good news. He betrayed everyone for his own benefit. He cut a deal with the devil after the death of Hundreds of Gen Z's. So KUMBAFU WEWE AND YOUR LIMITED REASONING CAPACITY.

The land next to Thika Road Mall along Thika Road belonged to the Kenya Army. Between 2020 and 2022, a flashy “man of God” who was chest-thumping for William Ruto was circling it like a vulture, ready to grab what doesn’t belong to him. Then Uhuru Kenyatta stepped in. He launched an Affordable Housing Project on that land not for PR, but to block land grabbers from stealing public property. Concrete was poured. Houses went up. Soldiers’ land was secured. That is why those apartments stand there today. Now fast forward. Ruto climbs into office and suddenly he is cutting ribbons and posing for photos on projects he never conceived, never financed, never defended. He is riding on Uhuru’s sweat and calling it his own revolution. Three and a half years in power where are Ruto’s houses? Where are the new units started, completed, and handed over under his independent vision? We are being shown plaques and press conferences. We are not being shown bricks. Leadership is not hijacking completed projects and rebranding them. Leadership is starting from zero and delivering. If the only housing you can showcase is what your predecessor built to stop your allies from grabbing public land, then drop the slogans. Kenyans can see the difference between a builder and a rider.

If there is one culture shock that truly hit me when I moved to Kiambu, it is this quiet, almost deliberate refusal by neighbours to greet each other unless there is something to gain. Where I come from, greeting is not strategy. It is not a transaction. It is not a prelude to a favour. It is instinct. It is culture. It is blood. As a Luhya, you greet first. You greet properly. You greet even if you have nothing to discuss. You greet because you have seen another human being and you acknowledge their existence. A greeting is not small talk. It is recognition. It is respect. It is community. But here, I have watched doors open and close in silence. Eyes meet and quickly look away. People walk past each other like strangers sharing a bus stop in a foreign country. Then suddenly, when there is a request, a need, a favour to be asked, that is when the warmth appears. It unsettled me at first. It made me question whether I was doing too much, whether my greetings were unnecessary, whether being open was naïve. But I have come to realise something powerful. Culture shapes instinct. And my instinct refuses to die. I will greet you whether you respond or not. I will acknowledge you whether you need me or not. Because community does not begin when we want something from each other. It begins when we see each other. Or just maybe that is the quiet revolution. To greet in a world that only speaks when it wants something. Have you ever wondered maybe that is why your respective Supreme Beings, never really treat your prayers well because they only go to them when you need favours. And it is to cry about your problems? Do you remember a time you prayed and never mentioned your enemies? Just a solid praise and worship then left it at that. Maybe they are also traumatized! On a light note though, at the end. That is why probably people find it hard to help neighbours than strangers? They would watch a neighbour sleep hungry but donate to an anonymous fund drive to contribute for a baby shower for their popular celebrity whom they have never met. Life!

@xysist The government taxes on profit not expenses, your revenue is 500K but your expenses are 400K. You made a profit of 100K so KRA wants you to pay 30% of income tax.

My son's school has found a way around CBC textbooks and I am so proud. So, CBC textbooks are meant to be written in. And there is no sharing (something we grew up doing). The school introduced a book fund where we contribute money and the school buys books that students share... Now, like we used to do in 8-4-4, the students copy the work in exercise books and then answer. What this means is that the students now get to share the books (which is a good social skill to learn) and also practise their handwritting. No. It is not a public school and yes, as parents, we are very firmly behind the administration. CBC is a scam that needs to be abolished. It is not inclusive or even productive for our children. Our children are not specimen to be used for experiments especially in education.

Me by the way I love my convenience. I’d rather rent until I die than build in Syokimau, Kamakis, Membley, Thika Road etc. Ati suffer traffic and all just so I can live in my own house? And I will die and leave it? Let me invest that money and have my kids earn from it later.

About two weeks ago I had an errand to run. Had run out of cash. I took a stima sacco mobile loan. Planned to repay in about two weeks. I was given a loan of 15000, I withdrew about 14800, and the balance in account is 30s. Now I want to pay back the loan, I am required to pay a total of 16050. That is more than 1200 interest for a two week loan. Predatory lending in my books. I should get myself off that sacco.

@BravinYuri This narrative is devoid of logic. What purpose does violence play or assist in advancing Ruto's agenda? If anything it fuels people's anger and hate over this regime. It propels Riggy G to a level where his word will hold sway in the mountain.Unwittingly Ruto is aiding Wantam big

What is happening with Rigathi Gachagua right now is not random chaos. It is a textbook political playbook that only makes sense when you stop looking at the surface and start thinking several moves ahead. When those in power realize that a genuinely popular and credible alternative could threaten their grip, they do not fight that alternative directly. They manufacture a more convenient one. They elevate a figure who is loud enough to dominate headlines, visible enough to attract attention, but flawed enough to never unify the country or command broad national legitimacy. The goal is not to make him win, but to make him divide. You give him the microphone. You inflate his sense of inevitability. You push him into believing he is the people’s candidate.
You even let him declare that he will go all the way to the ballot with or without consensus. And then the trap closes. Instead of one strong opposition front, you now have multiple competing egos, fractured voting blocs, regional emotional politics, and a guaranteed split in the protest vote. From a distance, it looks like democracy but when you zoom in, up close, it is choreography. In such cases, the participants either know the role they are playing or sometimes they don't. But those with wide-open eyes can see. This is not really about Riggy G as a person. It is about what role he is being allowed to play in the bigger game. A man who is polarizing enough to mobilize his base, but divisive enough to prevent a unified national movement. But the gullible Kenyan voter as always will just enjoy the emotional rollercoaster instead of thinking outside the box. Long-range arithmetic. Call it political engineering if you will. Langu Jicho.
