I’m not getting carried away by ONE win, but the idea that Michael Carrick shouldn’t be considered for the permanent job regardless of results is hilarious. Just because it didn’t work with Solskjaer doesn’t mean the same thing will happen again. If Carrick gets Champions League football and shows real consistency on the pitch, why shouldn’t he be in the conversation for the permanent role? This squad isn’t good enough to win the league. I’d much rather see a United legend lead the rebuild than keep cycling through managers who want out the moment things don’t go their way.
