just realized we have the team composition at proletariat such that a feature in spellbreak has the possibility of being imagined, designed, implemented, tested, marketed, and managed almost entirely by women. that's dope.

Dungeons of Hinterberg has made me realize how much I love the game archetype of "something you can do irl, but Video Game" Off the top of my head this is like, playing as a park visitor in Thrillville, GW2 EoD's fantasy DMV, and all of Pokemon Snap. More of these please!

@its_spef I think your thoughts are very spot-on here. Very similar has been stewing in my head lately. The team clearly has made a fantastic game, however it feels the playbook for bringing a new hero shooter to market was completely ignored and instead relied purely on Sony brand power

Despite the last week including some major game launches for both the wider industry and me personally, I'm finding myself obsessed with Concord and why its launch went (seemingly) so poorly. I'm going to summarize my thoughts below just because I need somewhere to put them.

@its_spef There was not much momentum going into launch. A good example is the slope of the curve for twitter followers. The growth is actually plateauing leading up to launch, that is the opposite of what you want.

Like, off the top of my head there's also conversations to be had around understanding a game's target audience, release timing, the role of new PvP games when the majority of players already have their lifestyle games, and so much more.
