The amount of times I keep seeing “when I was a Catholic we never heard the Scriptures at Mass” just makes me wonder, why do you have to lie? If you’re trying to recruit people to your religion and you have to lie to do it, maybe your religion is false.

I keep thinking about this video & his implication that priests have built nothing. And all I can think of are the Saints, like Dominic & Ignatius & Benedict & Augustine & Francis, who built religious orders that have formed & educated countless men & women over the ages, have literally shaped the Church and the world. I think of the countless diocesan priests & bishops who have built the parishes & cathedrals that are still visited, day after day, week after week, the places where we go to be baptized, get married, and be buried. They’ve built the literal fabric of society - the schools, churches, towns - where we live our lives. The men who “own nothing” & have “built nothing” have given up their ownership, their own wealth, their own “worldly success” in service to all of us. And that is admirable. On this feast of the Holy Family, pray for these broke virgins we call Father. They’ve helped us build our families.

In 1986, before vaccine makers had broad immunity to liability for injuries, CDC's schedule had 7 routine childhood injections and none for adults or pregnant women. CDC's 2025 schedule has 5 routine injections during pregnancy, over 70 routine childhood injections (birth to age 18), and over 130 routine adult injections (up to age 79).
