This creature would come to be known as the Dover Demon. While this particular incident remains unsolved, there are many theories as to what it could have been. Similar creatures have been seen by other witnesses. So maybe this critter has gotten around.

Just an hour later, the creature was sighted again by John Baxter and Pete Mitchell. The next day, the creature was spotted again by Abby Brabham and Will Traintor. However, this time the creatures eyes were reportedly green.

April 21, 1977 Various teenagers, all unrelated to each other, saw the same creature within a two mile radius within a 24 hour period. Bill Bartlett had the first reported sighting.

A lot of Aurora residents regard this as simply a tall tale meant to drive traffic. However, some people maintain that “Ned” and his ship are buried right in the Aurora Cemetery.

The cemetary officials struggle with keeping a marker in place (obviously). A group had petitioned to exhume the remains in the 70s but were shot down due to the fact next of kin has to approve the process.

Ned April 17, 1897 Allegedly, around 6am an airship had crashed into a local windmill in Aurora, TX. The pilot wa dead on impact. After further examination, the pilot is said to be “not an inhabitant of this world”.
