Then the kid pays his way for the next 2-3 years, leaves HS soccer, only plays club. Plays mostly in front of his parents, (1/2)

The article mentions "thousands" - and I fear that many are being misled, and not truly "top tier" - families are duped into believing something that years later proves not to be true, and the kids miss out on potentially life-changing experiences.
