Happy father’s day to everyone. Just found out my grandfather passed away early this morning. Schedules shouldn’t be affected but just know if I’m a little quiet these next few days, that’s why.

i think most people don’t bother to make a change or have a will/drive to live but somehow i do, i’m always surviving so i’m used to just pushing through. i could probably survive anything just bc of how much i’m able to endure but i’m just a very special case so 💀🔥 i’m not the average person at all

@itsmisasoup_ I think I followed you around that time or saw you mention it,and yeah, I may not be an online friend, but I was worried for you, and hoping that you were able to get help given that I was physically unable to do much in terms of offering at least a bed for you to rest your head.

women do care about men’s mental health. i know a lot of women who care for their male friends, listen to them without judging and letting them feel. however, men need to also do their part and care about each other. and as long as you don’t do that, nothing will change.

it could be that were you are, it’s a little better. there’s slow change. but even then, mental health in general is not really taken seriously no matter who you are. little people actually care about my cptsd and boundaries and i’m a woman, nobody cared when i was in the slumbs bc of grief and chronic depression. i only helped myself and i’m only getting help because when i didnt have the energy, i still chose to get up and get help even though i had nobody really supporting me except for my internet friends.

@itsmisasoup_ Hmmmm, could it be that different regions are like that? Where I am, men have often supported each other's (hell, when I have a near miss in 2020, the women in my life helps, but so did the men. And online, even more men said if I ever went that close again, to reach out.

if women constantly listened to the news and cared about it then we all would be super skinny with eating disorders, no personalities, we would still only be mindless mothers. it’s important that while outside resources are important, the change must happen with you too. push back, speak up. don’t let them beat you down, and if you have to stand against the mass. emotions and feelings are not wrong, no matter who you are and they’re important to feel!

@That1ZeldaFan but the news have always been known to be intolerant fucks and you should never listen to them or truly take to heart what they say.

@That1ZeldaFan its true but men also need to step up and attend each other. i hear too often that it’s not what men are doing and more men are more comfortable being friends with women because emotional vulnerability is normalized with us while with other men, most of the time it isn’t.

@itsmisasoup_ It is improving, however there aren't a lot of professional resources that advertise informing men they can be utilised. Where I live, we have something called The Man Shed, but that's it. There was a company that had advertised that it was a second resource men could use, ......

@itsmisasoup_ I think more people need to do their part and care about each other and themselves, talking about your problems is great. There’s nothing wrong with asking for help. The number of times I’ve seen someone just talk and do nothing cause they don’t have an easy instant solution
