being a late adoptee is hard 💔 i love my family but i don’t always feel like they think of me as their kid, it can feel very isolating

& i love my little sister so much (she’s 5!!) and she’s my entire heart but seeing them interact with their bio kiddo, it definitely makes the differences more pronounced 😢 sometimes i feel like i was just a temporary patch until they could have “real” kids

grew up unhoused & in foster care. now a wheelchair user w/ seizures.
it’s honestly ridiculous to say that the only people who need accessibility are people who grew up in nice homes when there’s so much research regarding people with disabilities and abuse in childhood
