Dune (1984) Dreadful. Constant exposition, Herbert’s multifaceted characters are dumbed down. Overstuffed and underbaked, still a miracle it came out this watchable. I don’t necessarily blame its faults on Lynch but there was no saving this piece of shit 2.5/10

Moonrise Kingdom (2012) I never dislike Wes Anderson’s style, but this felt a bit cloying vis-à-vis the plot. The characters weren’t as strong as normal, and the final act is pretty weak too. It’s still enjoyable but definitely not as memorable as his other films 7/10
