The Bloor cinema has meant so much to me over the years. Saw many of my favourite films there for the first time - Fargo, The 400 Blows, Mulholland Drive. Anyway, today I was there on stage and gave a speech under a giant picture of myself as a child

@jkre1244 @ThatEricAlper I've never even heard the Brinsley Schwarz version of "What's So Funny..." Think I've only heard Nick Lowe sing it solo. But yes that Dave Edmunds version of "Girls Talk" is so so SO much better

@ThatEricAlper What's So Funny Bout Peace, Love,and Understanding by Elvis Costello is better than the Brinsley Schwarz version. And Girls Talk by Rockpile/Dave Edmunds better than the Elvis Costello version. Nick Lowe wrote Whats So Funny and Costello wrote Girls Talk.

@iSmashFizzle My parents had me kind of late. But they also lived a long time. My dad started seriously declining when I was about 42. My mom was in relatively good health/spirits right up until she died suddenly when I was 43. (She was 81. My dad lived to be 90.)
