Last December, a woman ran away with over ₦250,000 of my friend's daily contribution (ajo/osusu) money. She had been contributing from June until December 2025, when she was supposed to collect her money. That was when she discovered the woman had disappeared. She called her repeatedly, but there was no response. She was completely devastated. Recently, we were having a conversation, and I asked if she had stayed away from contributions after that experience. To my surprise, she told me she had already joined another one because she "trusts the person." I was speechless. Some women never seem to learn when it comes to ajo/osusu.
