One platform. Endless possibilities. Poki V2 is now live on Cardano.

One platform. Endless possibilities. Poki V2 is now live on Cardano.

Today, we're launching a free tier for SecurityBot. That is something I've wanted to do for a long time, and I wanted to explain why we did it, what it means for communities already using SecurityBot, and where we're headed. 👇 What drives SecurityBot Ever since I created SecurityBot in my dorm room nearly 5 years ago, I've been focused on building top of the line "protectionware". Protection that doesn't get in the way and works quietly in the background, so that you can focus on what you're here to do: build, learn and grow in a safer and more accessible Web3. That has always been the vision of SecurityBot: "ensuring the digital ecosystem is safe and accessible for all". That doesn't just apply to Web3, though that's my primary focus, I want to make all communities safer. This free tier is a direct expression of that vision. If you believe in protecting the internet, it has to be accessible to all. Why free, and why now When I started SecurityBot in 2021, every server needed a subscription. That made sense at the time. It funded development, covered infrastructure, and kept the product alive through multiple market cycles. But that also meant that smaller communities, new projects, and anyone just getting started in Web3 had no way to protect themselves or their community. And those are the exact people that need our help the most. A new project with a small community and no experience is a great target for scammers. The timing of this isn't lost on me, either. The market is in another rough patch. We're seeing companies and projects tighten their belts, reduce costs, and buckle down for what could be a long winter. Scam prevention shouldn't be on the chopping block. If the goal is a safer Web3, we can't only protect the communities that can afford it. The most vulnerable communities need protecting the most. What the free tier includes We worked really hard to make sure this free tier didn't feel like a trial, or a demo. It is a real scam prevention product that provides real value. Free communities get scammer join alerts powered by the same network-wide database that has been banning scammers in all our premium communities. They get all the chat filters for phishing links, Discord invites, scam wallet addresses, and ADA handles, with a cap on how daily filter actions. They get CAPTCHA-like verification for new members and full activity logging. For smaller or early-stage communities, that should be enough to stop scams on day one. What Premium unlocks Premium is the same great SecurityBot you've come to know and love. At $20/month, you remove all the limits. Unlimited chat filter actions, no allowlist caps, impersonation protection, purging, channel locks, webhook monitoring, automated scammer bans, and more. If you run a significant Discord server with an active community, real assets, and a staff team, you will feel the difference. A note to the communities that got us here To every server that has been with us: your subscription isn't changing. Nothing is being taken away. The free tier makes your protection stronger by expanding the network you already rely on. If you feel that the free tier is all your community really needs, I totally understand and you can downgrade your subscription at anytime. Where we're headed The free tier and Premium are just the beginning. We're building toward Pro and Enterprise tiers that will serve larger organizations and multi-server networks with custom Discord integrations, more advanced tooling, dedicated support, and infrastructure built for scale. But more broadly, the vision for SecurityBot is bigger than any single tier or feature set. Protectionware that makes online communities safer shouldn't be limited to one platform or one ecosystem. What we've built for Web3 Discord communities is a foundation, and we intend to build on it. If your organization has needs beyond what Premium offers today, I'd love to hear from you. We're actively working with enterprise partners in the Cardano ecosystem and beyond, and the roadmap is shaped by the communities we serve. Protection should be accessible. Today we took a real step toward that. Get started at securitybot.info - Josh Founder, SecurityBot

Hello everyone, it has been a long time since we have been able to update you publicly so as not to jeopardize any legal remedies. As you know, in the second half of last year, we engaged Saib Dev to handle the development of Poki V2. Saib had a strong reputation within the Cardano ecosystem. Our founder Sean Davies—who passed in December 2024—had worked with them previously and recommended them. They had contributed to numerous projects within Cardano and received funding through Project Catalyst. We entered into a contract with them in June based on this history. Unfortunately, the project did not proceed as anticipated. Delivery timelines were extended multiple times, and communication became increasingly difficult. Despite efforts to address these issues, the working relationship could not be salvaged. Under the terms of our agreement, full delivery was expected in October. That delivery did not occur as scheduled, and subsequent attempts to resolve the matter were unsuccessful. Due to ongoing legal proceedings, I'm unable to share further specifics. What I can tell you is that after our settlement offer was declined, we are now pursuing this matter through appropriate legal channels. Litigation is moving forward. In most situations, this kind of setback might signal the end for a company. But that's not who we are. As soon as it became clear we would not receive the completed product as contracted, we directed our internal team to begin building our own version of Poki V2. Development has been underway since November, and we are very close to delivering the experience you've been waiting for. We are preparing to launch within the next two weeks and will have an official date for you shortly. Poki V2 is finally coming, built by our team with planned updates for the future. I understand the frustration of not getting clarity sooner, but I had to make the difficult decision to reserve public comments until our approach towards justice would not be compromised in doing so. Nonetheless, we have been building our own V2 in the background with our internal team. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the outcome. More to share next week, thank you. ❤️
