It's bittersweet to share that this is my last day at Figment Capital. It’s hard to put into words what this experience has meant to me. FigCap gave me my shot. Over the last four years, I’ve been lucky to learn from my incredible partners and to get to work with founders I respect deeply. The experience has shaped me in ways I’ll carry with me for a long time. More than anything, I’m leaving feeling grateful. My time here expanded my sense of what’s possible, and I’m proud to have spent these years representing the fund. I’m very excited for what’s ahead for Figment Capital and for the founders we’ve backed. Just a real thank you to everyone who made my tenure here so meaningful

I’m excited to announce the launch of Prototype, a venture fund focused on investing in frontier technologies. I first entered the crypto industry in 2019 as a regulatory consultant, advising digital asset managers on SEC regulations. Watching my clients deploy capital into such a new and unfamiliar sector inspired me to take my own leap and become a venture investor in the space. Since then, I’ve focused on backing early-stage startups as crypto steadily evolved into an integral part of global financial infrastructure. As crypto becomes more accessible, and as AI lowers the barriers to entrepreneurship, Prototype aims to invest in frontier technologies that empower people to seek opportunities and generate value through their own means. Thank you to the mentors, colleagues, and supporters who helped make this possible. Now it’s time to get to work!

I would like to share that I’ll be leading Partnerships for DeFi at @Compound_xyz Since my early days contributing to Sky / Maker for the past 7 years and building StableLab for the past 5 years, Compound has been a close partner and one of the pioneers that helped push DeFi into the mainstream. I have fond memories of connecting @rleshner with interested media and institutions back in DeFi’s early days to explain the promise of decentralization to the “crypto curious”. I’ve taken this on with the goal of helping revive Compound’s momentum while continuing the reputation it built as one of DeFi’s foundational pioneers. As we prepare for the launch of Compound v4, we’re focused on the next phase of adoption and expansion, with innovations designed to turn Compound into the infrastructure layer for the new financial system. @mrjasonchoi I think our environment (DB) contributed partially to this. It was, to a degree, somewhat unhealthy. I'm in a similar boat (though I haven't made it); I was taught that competition was paramount and that wealth was all that mattered. Hopefully, I'll get to where you are someday

That said, as an active Pendle + vePENDLE user, i truly believe Pendle has to change its tokenomics for it to truly flourish

@pendle_fi has spent an extraordinary amount of resources educating people on what PT/YTs are and how they’re akin to zero-coupon bonds/coupon exposure. It has certainly paid off and is part of the reason why they’re so successful.
