As against 1001 mindless scrolls I've done today, I've taken the time to reflect on this young lady. Someone's child. Someone's friend. Someone's grandchild. She meant a lot to her friends, her family. She had dreams, had plans, had an entire life in front of her. She could have been anything. A medical doctor, a lash tech, queen of a particular kingdom, a CEO or even a wife. She most likely loved life and lived in hopes. That one day, she'll tow the path of her mentors, the people she looked up to. It didn't matter if she was academically smart or not, what mattered was that she mattered. She didn't have to die. She didn't have to not exist with truncated dreams. Her parents didn't have to live with the grief they're currently living with. Now, this is just Priscilla. There are over 1000 Priscillas who have died mindless deaths at the hands of these terrorists. Not Acts of God. Just deaths that didn't need to happen. When you reflect in this context and hatred doesn't build in your heart, you are sick. When you reflect in this manner, and you don't have absolute disgust for the government and the apolitical bastards whose mouths are too heavy to speak truth to power, you are sick. When you reflect in this manner and you think any association who still cuddles to this demonic government that has repeatedly closed eyes to these wanton deaths, is worth keeping - you are mentally ill. I am sorry this happened to you, Priscilla. I am so sorry. You were geographically unfortunate and it is an absolute shame. I hope the lights guide you home, my dear. 🕊 ❤

😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 This is Priscilla. She was part of those students that were attacked by Fulani hêrdsmēn during Heipang polytechnic attack that claimed the lives of 2 students on 1st of April 2026. She was among the two ladies that were rushed to the hospital. One died immediately but she has been in the hospital since then, battling between life and death. The struggle and fyt for life came to an end yesterday as she became breathless. May her soul find rest with the lord and may her dead not be in vain These were innocent students… this is truly heartbrèåking. May God comfort the family, friends and entire PLAPOLY Heipang community in Jesus’ name. 🙏 Amen. Rest in peace Credits - Badung Junior

I was 31. Business was good. She was 24, working in a salon. Met her when I went to barb. Smart girl, but struggling. She told me she dropped out of school because her dad died and her mum couldn’t pay for her and her two younger brothers.I liked her. Not just her face. Her hunger. She wanted more. First I paid her school fees. She went back to school — part time program. ₦280k per semester. I covered 4 semesters. Bought her laptop, paid for data. She called me “my destiny helper.” Then her brothers. One wanted to learn tailoring, the other wanted to write WAEC again. I paid. ₦60k for the machine, ₦45k for the exam runs and lesson. Their mum fell sick once. Hospital bill was ₦190k. I cleared it. No complaint. For her, it was the best life I could give. New apartment — I paid 2 years rent. Monthly allowance: ₦100k. Hair, clothes, iPhone 13. I took her to Ghana for her birthday. Introduced her to my sisters. Told my mum “this is who I want to marry.”I wasn’t doing it for thanks. I thought we were building. I believed if you pour into a woman, she’ll protect your name.Year 3, I traveled for business. 6 weeks in Turkey. We talked every day. Video calls. “I miss you,” “come back soon,” “I’m praying for you.”I came back unannounced. Wanted to surprise her. Got to the apartment 9pm. Her key was in the door. I heard a man’s voice inside. Laughing. I opened it. She was there. Wrapper tied to her chest. With her “course mate.” The same guy she said was “just a friend from school fellowship.” On my bed. My bedsheets. The one I bought from Dubai. She screamed. He ran out wearing only shorts. Didn’t even look at me. She didn’t beg. She just said: “You were gone. I was lonely. You don’t own me because you pay my fees.” That line broke me more than the cheating. I walked out. Left everything. The apartment, the TV, the fridge I bought. Never went back. Blocked her. Told her brothers to forget my number. Their mum called me crying. I didn’t pick up.I checked my account that night. In 3 years I’d spent ₦6.7M on her and her family. Not as investment. As love.

I normally paint, staying in one room. She drove a Venza to school. We were both in final year same level, same faculty. We met at a friend’s coding class, she wanted to “learn tech,” I was teaching to survive. She didn’t act rich. Wore slippers, laughed loud, ate abacha by the roadside with me. I told myself “don’t try am,” but love doesn’t take permission. We started talking. She liked that I didn’t pretend. I liked that she saw me, not my pocket. For months it was us. I’d walk miles to meet her because I couldn’t afford transport both ways. She’d buy suya and say “we’re sharing.” I’d write her code, fix her laptop, teach her Python. She called me “prof.” We even defended our final year projects the same week. Then she took me home. Her compound had a gate like church gate. Dogs. CCTV. Her mum opened the door, looked at my paint-stained jeans and faded shirt, and her smile died. Her dad didn’t come out. He sent word through her mum: “Ask him what his father does.” I said“My dad is late. My mum sells tomatoes.” Silence. Her mum said: “You’re a nice boy. Focus on your life first.” She fought them. Said “he’s smart, he’ll make it. We’re even in the same class.” Her dad said: “Level in school is not level in life. When he can take care of you without you touching your trust fund, bring him back.” She cried to me that night. I told her “I’ll make it. Give me time.” She said “I can wait.” But rich families don’t wait. Next month, right after we graduated, they sent her abroad for masters. “Further your studies.” Her number changed. Her Instagram went private. One mutual told me: “Her dad said if she marries you, he’ll disown her.”I didn’t have money to fight for her. No visa to chase her. No car to show up at her gate. All I had was a degree like hers and “potential,” and potential doesn’t open gates.

What is the basic logic that the western-enforced global economic system operates on, and why is this logic fundamentally life-threatening from an African perspective? @Big_Mck breaks this issue down into bite-sized pieces for @Spearhead_Af

The reason why the West is so obsessed with democracy for Africa is very simple: they have socialized Africans into becoming lazy thinkers through religion and Western education. So you have a population with equal power to make electoral decisions, but not equal wisdom. Socrates explained why democracy is never the answer in this video.
