@ivan_zemun @acedoteth You’re mixing labels with ethnicity here. Early sources use “Slav” loosely, usually for frontier populations. The documented large-scale Slavic presence in the Balkans is still 6th–7th c. That’s the point.

Archaeology tells us the city was Βυλάζωρα (Bylázōra). In Greek, it means nothing. In Slavic, "Bila Zora" means White Dawn. Philip V captured it in 219 BCE.
