So here I am, back in the arena. Not because it’s easy, but because staying on the sidelines while Malaysia burns is not something I’m willing to do anymore. And I believe that @partibersamamy will be the catalyst for a reformed Malaysia.

@rafiziramli reminded me that principled leadership isn't just an idea, it's a choice. I can't fully explain it. But something in me just knows that this is different. And when you've been close enough to see what wrong looks like, you learn to recognise what right feels like.

Salam semua. You all might be wondering, “sapa mamat ni? Tetiba muncul, cakap pasal principles, pasal party, pasal masa depan Malaysia.” I’d ask the same thing. Let me introduce myself properly. Bukan resume atau pitch. Just the truth about who I am and how I got here.

@ivanalexong @partibersamamy Good move. I am still a PAP (Pengundi Atas Pagar) - never join politics. Post BERSAMA launch, I was damn excited. Still coaxing my wife to allow me to join @partibersamamy. To her, politics is dirty. Maybe YB @rafiziramli can teach me something nice to tell her? Ha3

I am now officially a @partibersamamy member, after leaving politics 2 years ago. From Sarawak to Selangor, I step into a more mature path of politics. I look forward to working together with my comrades for Malaysia’s future. I am not loyal to a party. I am loyal to reform.

Thanks! Yeap we'll roll out on bersama.org a form for members to identify how/where they want to contribue. Once Kancil app is rolled out by end of June, members will have plenty of ways to contribute. I think there'll be a time when we need to consider East Malaysia, though we must prove ourselves in West Malaysia first before we get to that point.

@rafiziramli Salam @rafiziramli. I joined @partibersamamy based in Selangor, after 2 years of leaving Sarawak politics. Keen to contribute meaningfully, would be a shame to waste 6 years of experience. What can I do? And genuinely curious, is there a road ahead for Bersama in East Malaysia?

@rizalbiggie @partibersamamy Loyalty to principles is far more important than blind loyalty to any political party. I understand not everyone can comprehend that and that’s okay.
