My friend applied for a passport. Police came for verification and demanded ₹2000 bribe. No missing papers or any valid reason. Just a bribe to do the job they’re already paid to do. This is how corruption survives in India.

The armed forces does not have casteism and racism in the selection of officers though jawans are taken region wise and not based on casteism or racism . However the civil services have 50 percent reservation on caste and race . The armed forces will object to caste and racism being introduced as they exist as Indians first . Politicians will dare touch this issue though Pappu wanted to introduce it in the armed forces .
