🆘🆘 FRANNY (ID 247975), 2 YO, FEMALE – IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 3/5/2026, with the surrender reason stated as animal behavior - not good with resident animals. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 3/24/26 ➡️ 🆘🆘 1ST Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 18 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ FRANNY IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - She is not thriving in the care center and is deteriorating in the Adoptions room. She is now displaying signs of frustration and distance increasing behaviors. “DETERIORATING IN THE ADOPTIONS ROOM” IS A DEATH SENTENCE IN THE SHELTER. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 A volunteer writes: Franny can be affectionate and playful when she's comfortable, so we've been doing our best to make the shelter as cozy as we can. Providing all the beds, snacks, and toys we can think of, it seems we've still come up just a tiny bit short. Part of it may be that there's always a lot going on in Adoptions, too much for Franny to really be able to take in and thoughtfully enjoy. In her previous home, Franny enjoyed watching from afar and entertaining herself with her toys. Sitting at the front of her condo, Franny seems to be doing the same as she tries to meet us halfway. Part of it may also be that Franny really likes to go and see and do, she just likes to do it all her own way. Franny's looking for a family who will let her take the lead and welcome her for who she is. Franny tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! I have lived with cats in my previous home. I am looking for a home with a patient person. I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace. I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home. I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them. The ceasefire agreement they claim is extremely fragile, and the crossings have been closed since the beginning of the Iranian war.. We are struggling to survive..
