Three years ago this was my Punisher comics collection (It's on the floor for perspective reasons) On the right side of the pile is the US comics and in the left side the Portuguese/Brazilian comics. Got to say that the left side did grow a lot in the last three years. #punisher

@ivomgs Even going by Max Punisher Philosophy, once Cavella desecrated his family's grave and Frank got hands on Cavella it was just shooting him in the stomach and leaving him out in the woods, only bought him a bit more pain. No elaborate torture. A shot to the stomach.

Some people should read more or even watch more Punisher movies. The Punisher doesn't let emotions take control of him, only Jon Bernthal Punisher. "Revenge is not a valid motive, it's an emotional response. No, not vengeance. Punishment." - The Punisher. #punisher #thepunisher

@fandompulse I have to say that this Tom King is romantic. You're all brutes.🤣💀 Now, honestly I wonder if these people could keep their job back in the 80's or 90's.

Tom King explains his take on Wonder Woman: "She's a warrior for peace. She's super empathetic but a warrior for peace. That means every time she throws a punch, every time she's fighting, she's losing. Every time she turns to violence, she's failing, and her life is violence. What does that mean for her over the long term? That's part of what makes her a warrior. Her war is failure." Does he even understand what he's saying?

@PunishedKonshu Exactly! I even miss that in some movies. In the 80's and 90's you had evil people as villains, no one humanized them. I remember Robocop for example.

@ivomgs I'm of the same sentiment so I agree. I want evil to just be evil. I'm letting Fractions run spread its wings a little bit to see where it goes or if there's a payoff. When I see Joker I don't want to see some damaged man in clown make up. I want a psychotic monster.

Let's be honest here: The last great Batman run was back in the new 52 under the helm of the "good" Snyder. -Court of the Owls; -Night of the Owls; -Death of the Family; -Endgame. Zero Year was just ok. Didn't care for "Superheavy" or "Bloom" . #batman #dccomics

@PunishedKonshu The moment they try to humanize villains, it is a big turn off for me. I'm a bit tired of villains who became villains because somehow they were victims. I want villains who are evil just because it's their nature.

@ivomgs To each their own. I do long for a darker grittier Gotham.

@PunishedKonshu Matt Fraction's Batman didn't work for me. I've read three issues of it, and wasn't impressed.

@ivomgs The new run is off to a good start. Still lacks the gritty underbelly of Gotham and its mysteries though (so far). The court of owls blew me away and the horror direction they took with the joker in new 52 made me cringe in a good way.

Double Dragon, the movie I've been delayed in seeing for decades due to bad reviews. It's confirmed. The world of Double Dragon is great. I wonder why they tried to make this a parody instead of taking it seriously. It's really a shame. Billy Lee's combat skills are hilarious.+

The Punisher HQ
The Punisher HQ@PunisherHQ·
One of the greatest mysteries in Punisher history is filling the gap on how he could escape from "The Bone", an underwater prison, built by Stark, apparently unbreakable from the inside and designed to keep the Punisher inside, forever. But a month or two later in Thunderbolts, we see the Punisher tied to a pole talking with Ross about his admission to the team. My simple guess is that a "Hulk" could take him out of there. The Bone was unbreakable from the inside, not the outside. Tell me your story for solving this riddle.

The Punisher already appeared in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 in 2004. Thomas Jane was supposed to cameo as Frank Castle but got blocked by a contract issue - so Raimi used his stunt double instead. 20 years later, Jon Bernthal finally gets it right

@TheShinBatman84 @Mark_Dacascos Yeah, Robert Patrick was ok too. The effects were also good for the time, I don't know what were their idea for this. Maybe get younger audiences... I don't know.

@fandompulse Facts. Let's be honest here, even in the new 52 Batman's worth storylines are "Court of the Owls", "Night of the Owls", "Death of the family" & "Endgame". The rest was "ok".

Blessed Child author Jacob Airey on the state of Batman: "The New 52 Batman run was the last time we got a solid arc for the character. DC Rebirth & subsequent events have tried to make him emotional, a coward, a fraud, a weakling, etc. It's basically the writers self-inserting their own insecurities onto Batman. It's lame." Is this accurate?

Another thing that bothered me was the casting of Billy Lee (Scott Wolf). Couldn't they have, at the same time, cast someone who could be a little bit better martial artist? Two brothers who were trained to be fighters should both display similar fighting skill... but no.

Even @Mark_Dacascos highly skilled performance didn't save this movie. His moves are fluid and natural, but all the bad decisions in this movie kind of take away his spotlight. This should be in the vein of Mad Max, with less desert, anarchy, gangs and tragedy.+

@fandompulse I don't know why people are surprised. This Batman isn't for classic Batman fans. This is the contrary of what O'Neil, Dixon, Morrison projected.

Scott Snyder on his intention with Absolute Batman: "The whole idea was to invert the entire mythology of Batman. And so he’s not a generational billionaire. Instead of being the system and order, he’s chaos. He’s anarchy. He’s that wild, primal beast that is just going to go straight into things you don’t want to go straight at at all. He’s larger than life and all of it. It isn’t just sort of Batman has no money, the villains have money. It’s an inversion of everything. He grows up in crime alley. His villains have a different role. The city is different. It’s a city of extremes. Like his allies are different. Everything is different." Why is it called Batman?
