Have you ever felt like every feature is “non-negotiable”? 👀 Great products aren’t built by adding everything. They’re built by understanding which features matter most to the people you’re designing for. That’s where personas help. They help teams prioritize, stay focused on real needs, and avoid products overloaded with features people don’t actually need ✨ Because good design isn’t about juggling every request. It’s about making thoughtful decisions people will actually value 💙 #designmemes #UIUX

Want to understand what users actually pay attention to? 👀 Eye tracking helps UX researchers see where users look, what captures their attention, and where friction appears inside an experience. These insights help teams improve usability, optimize layouts, and make design decisions based on real user behavior, not assumptions ✨ The way people visually interact with a product reveals patterns that traditional feedback can easily miss. If you want to explore how eye tracking works, its benefits, limitations, and best practices in UX research, read the full topic definition here 💙 🔗 ixdf.org/literature/top… #UXResearch #UXDesign #UXUI

Grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in the "IxDF Halifax Coffee Chat" in collaboration with IxDF Canada 🇨🇦 on May 19, 2026. ixdf.org/local-group/no… It was an inspiring evening of learning, meaningful discussions, and intense community engagement with one of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick's leading UX Research experts. I had the opportunity to share my practical experience on the resistance to change among West African populations, which is one of the many challenges facing the digital transformation of our countries. Why is there so much friction and effort involved in digitizing public services in Africa, particularly in my country Senegal 🇸🇳? Which professions and population groups are most resistant to change? Digitalization and technological innovation face numerous challenges in gaining acceptance and adoption. How have giants like Facebook, Google, and Meta have succeeded in Africa? We thank the speakers, organizers, and participants for making this event so impactful and memorable. Thanks to #Leah_Fitzgerald for her insightful article on resistance to digital change, which I encourage you to read here : lifestyle.sustainability-directory.com/question/why-a… Thank you @ixdf_org #IxDF #Uxbridge #uiux

Did you know that design patterns that work for adults may not work the same way for children or older adults? 👀 Different age groups interact with digital products in very different ways. Children rely more on visuals and feedback. Teenagers expect speed and autonomy. Older adults may need clearer labels, simpler interactions, and more confirmation cues. That’s why inclusive design goes beyond accessibility basics. Swipe through to explore practical design patterns for different age groups. Great digital experiences adapt to the people using them. 👉 Watch our Master Class, Accessible and Inclusive Design Patterns, to learn how to create more inclusive digital experiences for people of different age groups: 🔗 ixdf.org/master-classes… #GAAD #Accessibility #UXDesign

Could you explain the difference between accessibility and usability? 👀 Many people use these terms interchangeably, but they’re not the same thing. Accessibility ensures that everyone can have an equivalent experience, specifically focusing on people with disabilities who may use assistive technologies. Usability focuses on making products effective, efficient, and satisfying to use. The best user experiences need both. Designing for accessibility doesn’t only support a few users. It improves the experience for everyone. 💙 👉 Learn more about accessibility and inclusive design in our open-source design library: ixdf.org/literature/top… 🎁 And enjoy our Global Accessibility Awareness Day offer with 3 months free + 3 bonus accessibility-related Master Classes. #Accessibility #InclusiveDesign #UXDesign

Is your hamburger menu (☰) actually accessible? 🍔🚫 In responsive design, we often rely on hamburger menus to save space. But for users who rely on assistive technologies, an unlabeled icon can become a barrier. If you use a hamburger menu, make sure it includes: 1️⃣ Proper labeling: Icons alone don’t communicate meaning to screen readers. Add a visible text label or ARIA label so users understand what the button does. 2️⃣ Open/closed state indication: Users should always know whether the menu is expanded or collapsed. That state must be communicated programmatically to assistive technologies. Visible navigation is often the better option. But when space is limited, accessibility still matters. Good accessibility isn’t about adding extra features at the end. It’s about protecting usability throughout the design process. 🎁 Learn practical accessibility principles in our course Accessibility in Practice: Build Digital Experiences Everyone Can Use, and get 3 months free + 3 accessibility-related Master Classes in recognition of Global Accessibility Awareness Day. 🔗 ixdf.org/courses/access… #UXDesign #GAAD #InclusiveDesign
