After learning about the positive flank effect, I'm beginning to see the utility of revolutionaries.
Since revolutionaries are great at using sexy slogans to catalyse the anger and grievance of the masses into action, they are able to apply pressure to the status quo.
By extension, the reformists and pragmatists (the people who actually understand statecraft and make systems durable) get taken seriously by the pressured ruling class which ultimately leads to positive change.
The only caveat is to ensure revolutionaries never actually attain power, else be prepared for state of constant unrest, civil wars, structural collapse and terror 🥴

"grounded in my ideas and positions" zero significant papers or contributions written, published and/or contributed to, zero organisations, startups or initiatives started, highest degree completed is a bachelor's in mechatronics.

"Restoring power to the people" is a cute slogan. "The people" are yourself, friends and colleagues in the revolution.

Correct.
These "revolutionaries" are useful for political upheaval & have the resolve needed to upset an entrenched system, but their ideas on how to run the country usually lead it to ruin & the possibility of more instability/conflict.
And that's the problem.

The mobilising power these guys have is intense.
For someone like me who is very grounded in my ideas and positions , I still end up going on a reading spree, whenever Marxists whack me on here lol.
Because the intensity they use is so scary, you wonder if there is something you’re actually missing.
