This tells me a lot more about how society does not have systems in place to help single mothers be able to thrive for themselves and their children. Not like the mom isn’t trying to provide xyz, but that the odds are stacked against her systemically.

A lot of men are unhealthily attached to their masculinity tho, so what exactly are they able to teach their daughters ?? Bc this is all assuming men in general are upstanding but they statistically aren’t

@izzykento @thekonyjen A father sets the standard for what a real man looks like. His presence gives a daughter a healthy reference point and helps her avoid false masculinity. Same goes for sons with fathers. Why argue for absent parents when the data clearly shows kids do better with both involved?

If you grew up with a single mother (or even if you lived in a two-parent household), women do wayyyyyyyy more than most men ever could for their family. If I’m not with somebody that believes they should be just as present, I’m not having a baby. Simple.

@izzykento @thekonyjen You’re not a man so once I become a teenager outside of cooking some food and washing my laundry and probably taking me somewhere. There’s no perspective or familiarity that you can provide me with that I should take seriously same goal with a father and his daughter.
