I have been using my Nigerian phone numbers (+234) since I relocated to Austria many years ago. This is my usual practice, even when I visited Nigeria recently. I recharge NGN1,000 every six months and then call a family member using that amount. My phone number remains active. Alternatively, you can use MTN or Airtel to keep your number active. MTN allows you to pay a small fee to keep your line active for up to 3 years, even if you don't use it. 1 Year: Dial *305*1# (costs ₦400) 2 Years: Dial *305*2# (costs ₦800) 3 Years: Dial *305*3# (costs ₦1,200) 2. AIRTEL Airtel protects your line from disconnection for up to 1 year. 1 Year: Dial *121*5*2# (costs ₦500) Hope this helps!

Those of you in abroad but still using +234 number, can you explain to me how it works?

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Dear Esteemed Members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Fellow patriots and nation-builders, As we stand at this critical crossroads in Nigeria’s history, one truth rings louder than ever: Peter Obi is the perfect candidate to defeat the APC and Tinubu in 2027 and to finally deliver the Nigeria of our dreams. Why? Because he is the president Nigeria can actually afford. Unlike other aspirants weighed down by heavy political baggage, Peter Obi carries none of the burdens that have crippled previous leaderships: *No large family obligations draining public resources *No army of political associates demanding contracts and favours *No expensive lifestyle or taste for luxury that turns governance into a personal ATM *No cabal waiting to hijack the Villa *No long list of enemies to fight or decades-old grudges to settle *No foreign liabilities or diploma controversies *No belief in marabouts or supernatural powers dictating policy *No interfering First Lady or First Family turning the seat of power into a family enterprise *No Weakness that comes with old age He comes clean, focused, and ready to work for Nigeria and not for himself or a small circle of cronies. But Peter Obi is not just “affordable” PO is highly effective. His agility and energy are unmatched. He moves across the country with ease, listens to the people, and makes decisions without drama. He will: 1. Ruthlessly cut the cost of governance so that every kobo works for the people 2. Spend government money wisely, strictly on priorities that matter 3. Channel massive resources into human capital; education, health, and lifting millions out of poverty 4. Place National Unity for Prosperity at the very top of his agenda; one nation, one destiny, shared progress 5. Our institutions will be strengthened and made truly independent, free from interference by any arm of government. 6. True separation of powers will return: Federal, State, and Local Governments will function as genuine partners, not rivals. 7. Security agencies will be fully empowered, properly funded, and focused on protecting every Nigerian’s life and property. This is not just another campaign promise. This is Peter Obi’s proven track record speaking for itself, a man who has governed before with integrity, frugality, and results. ADC members, the moment has come. The people are tired of recycled politics, expensive governance, and broken promises. They are hungry for a leader they can trust, afford, and be proud of. Let us rally behind Peter Obi, the man who can defeat APC/Tinubu not with money or machinery, but with character, compassion, competence, and a clear vision. Together, we will build the Nigeria of our dreams: secure, united, prosperous, and truly for all. A president we can afford🤝 Peter Obi for President 2027!

Can Peace Reign in the land? What have we done wrong that has brought us this level of insecurity? When can peace reign in Plateau, Benue, Niger, Sokoto, Kwara, Kogi and all the other troubled states of our nation, or should we just accept now that security in some parts of Nigeria has become a norm and impossible to handle? Should we just give up and accept defeat and surrender to fear while our people continue to die and our communities are ravaged and destroyed? We cannot let this become the new normal. The violence is not inevitable, and peace is not impossible, it is the failure of leadership that has made it feel otherwise. We must demand action and refuse to accept a Nigeria where some states are abandoned to chaos. Silence is not an option. We must secure our nation before more lives are lost. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Small statement that I made. That despite all the shenanigans that the APC is doing, if they like they should buy 20 million buses, convert 50 governors and buy 50 million celebrities. Peter Obi will still win Tinubu in 2027. There is a dark cloud over Nigeria and I know that every Nigerian in their hearts of hearts knows that these people brought that cloud over us. 2027 is not just an election, it is a personal battle for many Nigerians. Forget the threats, on election day when they see angry Nigerians come out to take back their country from the darkness no body go cough It is low voter turnout that usually gives them the confidence to do hanky panky. This time 18 year Olds are asking where they can get their voters cards, they are not waiting to be told anymore. "Including plu" those who will collect their rise will vote against them. Darkness will not a-Rice a second time in Nigeria. A new Nigeria is going to happen.

I was dozing off on the train last night when a lady tapped my knee. "Are you Mr. Toyyib Adelodun?" "Oh yes!" She then sat close by with her two children and we talked about careers and inspiration. The young girl wanted to do Architecture and Interior Design, the boy wanted to do Tech. We talked about internships and apprenticeships and I was showing them the robots I saw at @AnthropyUK, organisations like Black Apprenticeship Network and Blossiming Beyond Borders Nothing is as fulfilling has supporting the next generation🙏

Five books that will teach you more about money than a finance degree ever will. 1. The Richest Man in Babylon: Written in 1926 and still the most relevant money book for anyone starting from zero. The core lesson is pay yourself first before you pay anyone else. 2. The Psychology of Money: Morgan Housel explains why smart people make dumb financial decisions. It is not about math. It is about behaviour. 3. Rich Dad Poor Dad: Say what you want about Robert Kiyosaki but the distinction between assets and liabilities in that book has changed more lives than most university curriculums. 4. The Intelligent Investor: Benjamin Graham wrote this in 1949. Warren Buffett calls it the best investing book ever written. If you only read one book about the stock market, make it this one. 5. The Millionaire Next Door: This book proves with data that most millionaires do not look rich. They drive normal cars, live in normal houses, and build wealth quietly while everyone else performs. You do not need all five. Pick one. Read it this month. One book can do what 10 years of guessing cannot. Which of these have you read?

For the first time in 2 years, our compound gate man travelled. Just two days. And everywhere has scattered. Normally the man does everything. Open gate. Pump water. Fuel the generator. Wash cars. We didn’t even realize how much work he was doing until he left. Yesterday morning, water finished from the tank. Everybody came outside looking confused. Nobody even knew where the water switch is. Later we contributed money to buy fuel for the generator. Then someone asked, “Who will go and buy the fuel?” Silence. Nobody moved. Last night I came back home without my key. I knocked and banged the gate for almost 45 minutes. Nobody opened. This morning I even had to wash my own car. First time in years. Then the waste disposal people came. Nobody attended to them. They just dropped the waste and left. Omo… Only two days without our gate man and this compound has completely lost direction. It’s going to be a very long week for all of us.

Jumia has been in business for 14 years and has never posted a single year of profit. Not one. Their 2025 full-year results from their SEC filing tell the story clearly. Revenue: $188.9 million Net loss: $61.5 million Accumulated losses since 2012: $2.2 billion Cash remaining: $77.8 million The losses are shrinking. $104.2 million in 2023, $99.1 million in 2024, $61.5 million in 2025. That is progress. But shrinking losses is not profit. You can bleed slower and still bleed to death. Everyone calls Jumia the Amazon of Africa. Let me test that with actual numbers. Amazon was founded in 1994 and posted its first full-year profit in 2003. Nine years. Jumia is at 14 and counting. But the real difference is not time. Amazon built AWS, a cloud business that now generates the majority of their operating profit. That was the hidden engine funding years of retail losses. Jumia has no AWS. No side engine. E-commerce is the entire business. A fairer comparison is Uber. Founded 2009, first annual profit in 2023. About 14 years too. But when Uber turned profitable, its annual revenue was $37.3 billion. Jumia did $188.9 million. Uber had the scale to overwhelm its costs. Jumia does not. What the fans also skip is that at its peak in 2018, Jumia operated in 14 African countries. Today it is down to 8. They left Cameroon and Tanzania in 2019. Shut down food delivery across 7 markets in 2023. Exited South Africa and Tunisia in late 2024. Cut 7% of their workforce in 2025. They did not grow into profitability. They shrank. And they are still losing money. Now let me be fair. Q4 2025 was strong. Revenue up 34% year over year. GMV up 36%. Operating loss cut by 39%. Cash burn from operations dropped from $26.5 million to $1.7 million. CEO Francis Dufay says breakeven by Q4 2026, full profitability by 2027. If they hit that, it becomes one of Africa’s biggest turnaround stories. But a vision that has burned $2.2 billion over 14 years without one profitable year is not just a growth story anymore. It is a survival story. $77.8 million in cash. The clock is ticking.

Today, I turn a year older. And every year on this day, I reflect on something far bigger than me. For a long time, I believed luck was something that just happens to you. Then I realised, luck can be engineered. Opportunity can be democratised. Hope is not just a feeling; it is a system we can build.

By 2030, 92 million jobs will be lost to AI. But a small group will benefit the most: The ones using it. I use AI to create 100–120 page non-fiction books... And sell them on Amazon KDP. One book in my portfolio recently did $39,000 in a single month. No luck or guesswork. I’ve been doing this for 6+ years. So I broke my system down into a simple 12-page doc. Inside, you’ll learn how to: • Find topics people already pay for • Stack multiple books that pay you daily • Turn a few books into predictable monthly income (even starting from zero) Like + comment “Book” and I’ll send it over. One man has 3 companies listed on the NGX. Dangote Cement. Dangote Sugar. NASCON. Dangote Cement alone has paid over ₦3.3 trillion in dividends in 15 years. Trillion. With a T. Now he’s about to list the refinery. The same refinery processing 650,000 barrels a day. The $20 billion facility they want to expand to 1.4 million barrels. Potentially the biggest IPO Africa has ever seen. Analysts estimate it could be valued between $40-50 billion. And here’s the part that should wake you up. You’d buy shares in naira. And the proposed structure is that dividends could be paid in dollars. That’s currently being reviewed by the SEC. If you’ve never opened a CSCS account, this is the year. Not because I said so. Because the opportunity is literally screaming.
