@MikeJBurgess @ATDazzles yes definitely! there's the odd bit of bad language and a few adult jokes that'll go over her head but nothing worse than the shows you've listed, and the rating on the website is 8+ I think. she'll definitely love it if she's enjoyed the others😊

@ATDazzles @izzytierney Hi Izzy, I've been thinking to book to see this with my 9yr old daughter. It looks great! Would you recommend it for that age? For reference we've seen Peter Pan Goes Wrong / Christmas Carol Goes Wrong and also Operation Mincemeat / Wicked / Mary Poppins and she's enjoyed them.

3 years since @sohoplacelondon opened and it really is the gold standard when it comes to building a new theatre properly and with accessibility in mind!

@_oliviagrace @DF97678 None of which is okay. My point is the venue shouldn't have been open to the public until it was completed & ready for everyone. Pushing ahead isn't the right choice when you can't deliver the accessibility you promised, let alone basic things like safety to your paying audience.

@izzytierney @DF97678 I don’t disagree but they were still building the auditorium when guests arrived. Chances are none of the seats, accessible or not, were even safety checked (huge thing in west end), the whole thing should have been pushed back but they pushed ahead and now know what to fix.

To make the hunger games on stage situation worse, I've just seen this tiktok from a wheelchair user saying she had to leave before the show even started because you can't see the stage from the accessible seats... completely unacceptable @THGonStage vm.tiktok.com/ZNdvMKWVh/

For anyone saying this is okay because the show is in previews, I suggest looking at the instagram stories from @/katieanna.mcconnell who shared her experience. And once again, previews are for the SHOW, not for the building! #TheHungerGamesOnStage

@_oliviagrace @DF97678 I hope so, but it wouldn't have happened in the first place if accessibility wasn't treated as an afterthought. the fact no one bothered to check that wheelchair users could see the stage is unacceptable & once again shows a complete lack of consideration for disabled people.

@izzytierney @DF97678 I don’t disagree it’s awful for that person… but this is venue built solely for the show.. so the venue itself is also in previews. It’ll be fixed.

yeah so i left the hunger games show because it honestly was such an unorganized experience, no one had any idea where they were supposed to be seated, some of us were told our rows didn’t exist and the show started more than hour later than it was supposed to.

@floatflore yeah that sounds stressful! it sucks when a show you're really excited for turns out to be a huge disappointment, sorry you didn't have a better experience x

@izzytierney straight up the woman told me and a few other people there that our row didn’t exist just for another person to come and say that they did and it caused immense confusion / really fucking overwhelming

@DF97678 previews are for testing out the show, so seeing which jokes do or don't land with the audience, working out if scenes need to be added or cut and trying a few different ideas to see what works best etc. safety & accessibility of the venue aren't things you test out in previews!

@izzytierney Is that not what PREVIEWS are for? To fix these things. I’m sure the person has fed back to the team and will be invited back on a day once fully fixed. The age of social media sucks when things are in tests……
