I received a phone call from the European Union Commissioner for the Mediterranean @dubravkasuica, during which she reaffirmed the EU’s full support for Lebanon and its readiness to provide the necessary humanitarian assistance in light of the current circumstances.
During the call, she inquired about the latest field developments, particularly the rapidly evolving situation in the south. I briefed her on the efforts undertaken by the Lebanese government to de-escalate tensions, implement the decision to restrict arms to the authority of the state, and maintain internal stability.
