Benedict Cumberbatch’s character was crucified for claiming to be a false Christ. At the end of this movie Jesus resurrects Clarence and exits his tomb. When I initially decided to watch this movie I had an open mind but I can’t deny this movie started off as something that appeared to honor Christ but ended being one of the most blasphemous things I’ve ever seen. That is how the devil tries to enter our hearts, through media, leading us on with a false hope. I’m disappointed in Jay Z for being an executive producer in this film. It also makes sense why Jay Z has a museum in Brooklyn New York called “The Book of Hov” which depicts him as if he is a deity. I don’t know if the disrespect against Christ is intentional but I’m disappointed Jay Z allows this representation to be spread. The same way every Jesus piece these rappers have depicts Christ in his lowest moment, when he was slain with tears in his eyes. Christianity should be handled with better care.
