World's dumbest drug dealer pulls marijuana filled car into a gas station to get gas at a pump right next to a police officer. What could go wrong? 🤷
An officer with the Oak Lawn Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a white sedan after observing the driver execute an illegal turn into a Marathon Gas Station lot. While questioning the driver—who appeared noticeably nervous—the officer detected a strong odor of cannabis emanating from the vehicle.
The driver denied smoking and insisted he had just left work. He also informed the officer he works for people's gas and they test them. This prompting the officer to step over to an adjacent black sedan to investigate whether the smell was coming from there instead.
The officer approached 19-year-old Jayshawn Rucker, who was standing outside the black sedan. When questioned about the odor, Rucker claimed the car belonged to a friend and denied any ownership. Looking through the front passenger window, the officer spotted a bag of cannabis in plain view on the seat.
When asked to produce identification, Rucker refused and immediately took off on foot. The pursuit went through residential yards and narrow alleys behind nearby apartment buildings. Officers eventually intercepted Rucker near a row of commercial trash dumpsters.
Weapons & Narcotics Recovered
During a pat-down search immediately following his restraint, officers discovered a loaded semi-automatic handgun equipped with an extended magazine tucked into his waistband.
A subsequent search of the black sedan turned up distribution-level quantities of illegal drugs and packaging materials, including:
201 grams (~7 oz) of cannabis, packaged into 13 individual bags
16 Xanax bars
5 grams of psilocybin mushrooms
A 200-count box of sandwich bags and digital scales
Rucker was taken into custody and formally booked on the following charges by the Cook County State's Attorney's Office:
Armed Violence
Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon (2 counts)
Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver
Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (2 counts)
Possession of a Controlled Substance
Resisting/Obstructing a Peace Officer.
If dude works for someone and they lost all this product, I don't think it's going to end well for him.
