To the anonymous dev who opened an issue on my tiny, abandoned GitHub repo back in 2022.
It wasn't a bug report. It was just a comment that said: "Hey, I was stuck on this API for three days. Your messy script fixed it. Thanks."
At the time, I was working a miserable retail job and teaching myself to code late at night. I had zero stars on that repository. I felt like I was shouting into a dark, empty room.
That single notification changed my week. It was the first time I realized my work could actually help another human being.
Today, I build in Web3 full-time. But on hard days, I still log into that old account just to look at that closed issue.
Some wins don't come with funding or applause. Sometimes it's just a stranger telling you your messy attempt saved their day.
Who is the stranger who gave you hope when you were doubting yourself?
