Overall, I am just disappointed that our team with no expectations and was playing fun, competitive hockey got desperate for no reason. Regardless, however, DeBoer is a much better head coach than Roy ever has been, so very much a long term upgrade if there is any silver lining.

Pretty amazing how in a few weeks I feel the polar opposite, namely with my hockey team. I don’t know what went through Darche’s head with his deadline moves and now firing our head coach with 4 games left in the regular season but this is all astonishing to say the least.

Exactly what needs to happen with this team. No more locked up mediocrity. Get younger but give us a shot to compete with what we have. Darche doing all the right things right now in my book.

I’m not sure if anyone saying this contract is an overpay has watched Romanov play a game, but I am a massive fan, here. The term is a little concerning, but the AAV with the cap rising for our consistently improving 2nd-pair d-man is great work by Darche.

Can confirm that #Isles Alexander Romanov is closing in on an eight-year extension worth $6.25 M annually. First on it @PuckPedia.

Well, it seems like we nailed 16 & 17, so I am confirmed elated

Weird day to be a fan of this team. While I am never paying Dobson $9.5AAV, the return screamed moving up to get Hagens. I am unsure what is happening from here but Matthew Schaefer is a certified pro and if nothing else, this kid will be our rock for years to come.
