@SteT238 @PKendrickWIG There’s only mention of the stadium once in the 18/19 accounts but it shows as part of the overall holding company. It’s mainly showed as a fixed asset value, all be it, a very overpriced value.

@jackashurst2 @PKendrickWIG Incorrect, we had only owned the stadium upon leaving administration. Accounts right up to Whelan selling and IEC confirm that. You have ponpointed accounts years before he sold us. I should have asked for 18 and 19 accounts, apologies.

@SteT238 @PKendrickWIG It was said a while back, hence why a lot of people stopped buying from the stadium on match days. He’s a rugby man and he’s already started to fleece their fans, he’s nothing but a hungry businessman. Whelan on the other hand had the clubs best interest at heart.

We’ve chosen to move for something a little bit different, but they are a mainstream brand. “They offer us something that we’ve not been able to have before. So, in terms of the financial’s, my job is to look after the business side of the club, and the deal represents one of the biggest deals we’ve done in a very long time. Certainly outside of the Premier League. “They’re a really, really good supplier. Good to work with. A lot more local, which is really good. Some of the aspects which will come out with the release in due course, really show that they’ve got their roots and the people involved in the company are exactly the same in and around Wigan. “For us one of the biggest things about the deal is to have everything bespoke.”
