@sleepykitsune__ man this is so crazy. It was a very nice surprise to know that a lot of people are making fanart of bully, but some of them are really weird, thats not the way to draw 15 year olds. The game's focus was never that, man :(

this game was made for teens, specifically a parody of high school, with mainly child characters, and it's so viscerally upsetting to me that it has effectively become unsafe for its INTENDED AUDIENCE because there are so many adults who just want to sexualize the characters

Time ago, I saw someone being upset that teenagers were playing Bully and I was genuinely confused for that take. I played it for the first time months ago but it was released when I was a kid. Many old fans played it when they were younger and it PG rating is listed for teens...

One of my many most controversial Bully takes is that the character I feel is actually geniulely nice is Pinky. She's the only one who doesn't request something from the player regarding "the plot" or her own clique. She just wants to have fun, like teens do, and call it a day.

I noticed Pete, Gary & Jimmy get flanderized a lot. The interesting thing about Bully is how the characters appear as "stereotypes" for then break free later on. Pete is not a "baby", same Jimmy. Both showed themselves to be mean or, in the protagonist case, unfair to the rules.

pete can be mean and bitchy but nobody sees it because they're too busy babying him and treating him like an Angel who can do No Wrong.

I don't think Pinky is mean or sees Jimmy as "less" according to her quotes (mostly the cut ones), but rather she clearly has no idea how to properly talk to people outside her family circle. Pinky was led to believe a life ideology and, of course, cannot act in the "real" world.
