@GBNEWS Here's an idea. Stop taking money off people who work and giving it to those who choose not to, or don't come from the UK. I've paid tax on my salary, and my pension, and to the council before I've even seen it. And now I can't even risk holding it in an ISA FFS.

@Kshi_nippon We have those in the UK too. Mostly in rural areas where generations of families still live and know each other.

One thing many foreigners find unbelievable about Japan 🇯🇵 In some rural areas, people sell vegetables through unmanned stands. No staff. No security guard. You simply take what you want and leave the money behind. And somehow… it often works. Could this exist in your country?

@InvestGlobalX We don't teach financial intelligence in our schools or colleges. There are also so many people fiddling the system that putting money into it might expose them, or the belief that it would. Folks sooner hide money in a box under their bed.

Investing seems to be the easiest it has ever been, but… 🇬🇧 The United Kingdom has the best tax efficient platforms out there, yet 60% of adults here don’t have an ISA. 👀Those that do: only 8% use the full allowance 🤨 Thoughts on this stat?

@fynnvestor I wouldn't say it's my highest conviction but it's certainly my most high risk. Once in a lifetime stuff, I'm investing in it considerably because if they make it big, they'll make it very big. I like their ideas and they have proven technology. Now they just need to scale.

A teacher took her students on a school trip to a mosque. An Imam taught the children about Islam, showed the girls how to wear burqas, and instructed everyone to kneel for prayer. Only one boy refused to kneel down. Fire this woke teacher? A. Yes B. No

Many are asking if Reform’s new policy of NO TAX on overtime applies to those working 2nd jobs: YES, so long as total income is below £75k!

@2147mill Dabbled with those income shares for alphabet. Just don't see how their payouts are sustainable. Lost more Nav in a year than it paid out so sold out of it.

How to retire with £500,000 paying you monthly income. This is my plan. I am going to keep stacking relentlessly. Start in your early 20's. Phase 1: Accumulation (Age 20-50. I should be able to get there comfortably before 50) Inside a Stocks & Shares ISA. Zero tax. Forever. → £300/month into VWRP or VUAG → Add single stock conviction plays alongside. Whatever you're bullish on. → Never stop. Never panic sell. Never touch it. The compounding journey: → Year 5: £22,000 → Year 10: £57,000 → Year 15: £114,000 → Year 20: £206,000 → Year 25: £353,000 → Year 30: £588,000 £300 a month. 30 years. £588,000. You contributed £108,000. Compound interest contributed £480,000. All inside your ISA. All tax free. Phase 2: The Pivot (Age 50+) Once you hit your number you switch. Growth funds out. Income funds in. → JEPQ: 9% yield. Monthly. Nasdaq income engine. → JEEP: 9% yield. Monthly. EU Companies. → STRC: 10%+ yield. Monthly. From Strategy/Bitcoin based. → CEPG: 15-20% yield. Monthly distributions. Tech/ Crypto Calls/Options. → GLDE: Gold+Yield. 9-10% yield. Monthly distributions. There are other funds I'd use too. £500,000 blended at 10-15% yield: 30 years. £588,000. You contributed £108,000. Compound interest contributed £480,000. Every penny. Tax free. Monthly. Forever. You never sell the portfolio. You just live on what it generates. Stack in your 20s. Pivot in your 50s. Retire on income. Not hope. This is the plan. Anyone doing the same?

Why do people do this when they don't agree with you and can't have a normal conversation about finance? All i did was comment back..Jesus, this app is WILD.

@cashflow_king94 I've tried. For some reason they think I'm trying to con them when I talk about investing. Some have tried it and then taken their money out on the first dip. Under your bed or on a pot on the mantle piece is still the safe place for many 😂

UK people 🇬🇧🇬🇧 Do you talk to any of your real life friends about financial freedom? Not your X friends... Your actual mates. The ones you go for a pint with - Because I don't... I don't think many of us do.

@Riz_Investing @JamesP728 @Trading212 You can't withdraw early unless terminally I'll. Gov rebate you 20% on every deposit so instant return. Can apply for additional rebate as a higher taxpayer, so 40 or 45% each year before your stock price has risen a point! Taxed on the way out but a decade before state pension.

@JamesP728 @Trading212 Nice and simple, FWRG. Nothing more, no fancy tweaks. Or the SPDR MSCI Global which might actually be a tad cheaper than the FTSE.

@sophielouisecc Carefully selected jury perhaps? Took ages to get to trial, thought it was so police couls get their ducks in a row. Seems it was more to figure out how to get them let off. Nothing short of a fucking joke when folks have gone to prison for hurty words on social media.

How on earth have the jury in the case of the Muslim brothers that punched a female police officer in the face, failed to find them guilty? It’s on video We literally all saw it!

@fynnvestor Does the all world not also include EM? Bonds might offer more stability than gold. I don't understand folks who throw the S&P500 on top of an all world. A US market wobble would hit you twice as hard. I tilt my global with a European momentum ETF by about 10%.

SIPP Discussion: Are any of you using your SIPP’s? I was accepted for the 212 one on Monday, I’m yet to add any funds but will be soon. This is my current thinking of how I’ll allocate the funds. 70% $VWRP 20% $SGLN 10% $VFEG What are your guys opinions on this allocation and how are you set up in your SIPP?

@Jenny_1884 It's like going to a Shell garage to buy fuel but having to tip BP at the till. I don't think it's legal or fair, and should never pass through parliament.

The fact the BBC want to make a TV Licence compulsory for everyone even if you don’t watch the BBC means that this is no longer a licence it’s a Tax. I’m sick of being taxed for everything. It’s criminal

@MartinSLewis What about hotels and Airbnb? The cost can triple around events like Ascott or if a good band are playing somewhere. We don't seem to mind about that and just pay it. Travel lodge and Premier Inn are chronic for it.

It's funny that with the government promising to crack down on price gouging to help the cost of living they still allow broadband, mobile and TV companies to do massively above inflation mid-contract price rises as long as they tell you in advance of signing up.
