Yes, and we apologize for the delay. Here is the honest reason. Once you burn the program key, the contract is permanent. Any bug or vulnerability becomes impossible to fix, forever. That is what immutable actually means. We are not here to pump and dump in an hour. We are building a long term token with a high ceiling, so we are taking the time to properly audit the contract and fix every potential vulnerability before we lock it in. Rushing the burn and getting it wrong would put holders at risk permanently. Doing it right protects everyone. We are close, and we will share the audit before we lock it.

well if you read the tweet, the dev is working on making the contract immutable, meaning the fees would auto claim and distribute to holders without him and he would not be able to reverse those permissions so yes i think the dev is trusted but even without him this will operate on it's own which is why i'm giga bullish on this

We're currently testing on devnet the immutable contract that will strip the fee authority away from the dev wallet and hand it to an on-chain program, a program whose upgrade authority is burned, so no one (not even us) can ever change it, stop it, or touch the fees. Because it's open-source and lives on solana, anyone can call the distribute function to pay holders. That makes the reward system and the payouts fully trustless and immutable - so even if the dev died, it would keep running and keep paying holders their Universal Basic Income.
