Zero doubt in my mind if we hadn’t had the first pen, that gets given. Zero connection with the ball, defender is beaten, clearly impedes the attacker to win possession back. It’s really not hard lads.

The impact from Mbeumo goes under the radar here, that initial run beyond the backline ends up being sacrificial but destabilises the backline.
They have to worry about Mbeumo getting back onside whilst also dealing with the second run from Cunha

Take it on your back foot to play quickly with your standing foot, something I see Adam Wharton do a lot. Top tier scanning before receiving, see the pass before your opponent’s do.
