👋 I don't usually post anything personal on this feed but I just wanted to share a few things. English Players Abroad is purely a passion project for me. I am the only one who has ever ran this account or blog and I do it all by myself. It started off as a uni project more than a decade ago and it's something I still really enjoy updating. I really appreciate all the messages I get that help me stay updated with the transfers that I may have missed. This is just a hobby, I've never made any profit from it. I work full time in an unrelated job. No money is earned from running this account or any of my other platforms. I have earned roughly $29 from X payouts since that program began but I have spent way more than that on web/podcast hosting. This account is entirely independent. Sleeper kindly cover the cost of my premium X subscription directly but they have absolutely no influence or say on what I post. If I paid for premium myself, I would be losing money each month. During the time of running this account I have built up connections with players and agents across the world and met some really great people but I have never been paid to post on here or to give someone favourable coverage. If I ever mention opportunities for players abroad or specific agents then it's because I'm genuinely trying to help more people sign for clubs abroad and for no other reason. I quite regularly get DMs from people asking how they can play abroad or if they know anyone who can help. I sometimes point people in the right direction but it's out of my hands from there and I do not earn any commission for recommending a particular club or agency. I also can't get back to everyone as sometimes requests are just unrealistic or not newsworthy to share on my platform. I have worked incredibly hard to build this account but I know some people will try take advantage of it. Thanks all and I really appreciate the support I've had other the years. I shall continue to keep you all updated with any transfers and news regarding all things English abroad.
