I respect the opinion but I just think it’s wrong. If the most important thing in the decision was immediate winning he would’ve stayed with the Yankees. I think the family stuff was the true separator also I think he looked at cohens pockets and was intrigued that they could add around him unlike he Yankees where it was sign Soto and don’t spend much more money elsewhere.

I don’t think this is true tbh. If Juan Soto knew the Mets would underperform in two consecutive seasons while the Yankees continued to get better, he would without a doubt stay in the Bronx.

@jacklp @TheMetsX Then what is the baseball reason? That he's had 40 bad games? There's not even a decent sample size that suggests an immediate regression. Mets fans are spoiled with Lindor. A good hitting/fielding SS is almost impossible to find. Just ask other teams.

I personally don’t hate him in fact I appreciate him he’s one of the best Mets ever however that doesn’t mean that it isn’t best for both sides to move on. It doesn’t have to be either you love him and don’t want him trade or you hate him and wanted him traded you could like the guy and still acknowledge that it makes sense to explore other options.
