@seaverway12 @Sleeps4 @AnthonyDiComo Even through all the hype and numbers from Met fans he wasn’t ever ranked a top 40 prospect by the people that make prospect list. With the numbers he put up you would easily think he’d be in there but he wasn’t. That was always a red flag to me.

For the Mets, Spring Breakout certainly showcased that next level of farm system pitching depth beyond Nolan McLean and Jonah Tong. Jack Wenninger (No. 7 prospect) and Jonathan Santucci (No. 10) combined to strike out 11 batters over 7 1/3 solid innings. Only one earned run.

@jacklp @Sleeps4 @AnthonyDiComo He was the best pitcher in the minors last year what are yall saying? This is solely because he was put in a terrible spot last year in the middle of the playoff race. He was simply not ready and I wouldn’t expect these guys to perform better in a similar situation

@Sleeps4 @AnthonyDiComo Yep. All he has is a fastball that he can’t command consistently that won’t work with major league hitter they say his change up is good but it didn’t last my eye test at least and he has nothing else.

@jacklp @AnthonyDiComo Tong got alot of hype. I’m with you I don’t see it. 3rd starter ceiling and I think he’s realistically a back end rotation guy.

Francisco Alvarez left the game early for precautionary reasons with back tightness. Carlos Mendoza says he would have continued playing if it was the regular season. Alvarez will be evaluated tomorrow.
