I haven’t thought about that line from the Dark Knight in a long time but in retrospect it’s almost tautological. Like yeah man if you are a hero you either die in that same state or you become not a hero in a way that is probably worse than neutral.

Relationships (friends, family) require active work to maintain once you grow up. You're not going to see your friends 5 days a week at school, you can't expect mom to manage your extended family ties as an adult. That's why some many end up isolated by 30.

AAA games should probably cost $200 and the fact people would rather have unfinished, serialized, or micro transactional games than pay a price that makes sense re: inflation and games being more involved and expensive to make is the reason there’s such a skewed perspective.
