PRESIDENT TINUBU’S UK ROYAL VISIT AND THE GAINS FOR NIGERIA President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s historic royal visit to the United Kingdom where he is being hosted by King Charles of England and later in a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of England, Sir Kier Stammer, is a major score point for his administration. This visit, the first of its kind in over 30yrs, shows that despite the criticism by some, President Tinubu’s government has warmly found itself gaining supports from the international community in a manner that opens up Nigeria for huge economic development. No matter where you belong, this visit has placed Nigeria and Nigerians in an advantageous position, where we stand to gain in all areas if all departments of Government tap into this door opening historic visit to market the country and further build sustainable bilateral cooperation.

ELRUFAI’S CRY FOR JUSTICE AND THE TASTE OF THE MERCILESS KUNU All of a sudden, Nasir Elrufai is crying for justice. The same man who was blinded to justice and power drunk as both Minister and Governor. A man whose sense of sympathy and empathy departs once he is in Government and enjoying political powers. As FCT Minister, Elrufai almost demolished AIT because the TV station aired an anti-Government news. It took the the likes of Ribadu, Uba Sanni, Osuntokun, Remi Oyo, FFK and General Abdulahi Mohammed, to get him off the backs of AIT So wicked and heartless was Elrufai that anyone who dares crosses his path, he crushes mercilessly using his political powers. That diminutive Elrufai deserves no pity. He deserves the same merciless kunu he served Southern Kaduna people and other Nigerians he inflicted pains upon. My friend and colleague, Luka Biniyat, @SKefason and many more are living witnesses to the wickedness of the short-man devil. Let him drink the merciless kunu in peace. We, his victims, are happy that the short-man-devil is now experiencing what it feels like to cry for justice without being heard!

ELRUFAI: THE IMP THAT IS BLEEDING FROM THE NOSE AND THE PARABLE OF BODY BAGS In 2019, Mallam Nasir Elrufai issued a direct threat to foreign elections observers, who were in Nigeria to ensure the credibility of our electoral processes, warning them that they would all return to their home countries in body bags, if they interfere to ensure our elections are credible. "We are waiting for the person who will come and intervene. They will go back in body bags because nobody will come to Nigeria and tell us how to run our country," said El-Rufai. "We have got that independence and we are trying to run our country as decently as possible,” he said. That election produced late President Mohammadu Buhari whose 8yrs reign further ruined Nigeria. Nigeria is now the way Elrufai wanted it. While the foreign election observers he threatened with body bags have all returned to their countries, watching Nigeria they tried to help from afar, Elrufai is bleeding from the nose. The diminutive Kaduna Mallam says he is bleeding from the nose while in detention to answer for his crimes. The same nose that could not smell the illegalities of the 2019 elections for which the foreigners cried against. The same nose that could not smell the injustices he meted on Southern Kaduna people. When we all were bleeding in the nose when he reigned as Governor, the short-man-devil looked the other way and left us with our bloody noses. We all have lived with our bloody noses. Elrufai should endure his season of bloody nose. It is a turn-by-turn situation.

HELL RUFAI: THE SHORT-MAN DEVIL BUGGING CROOK WHO SHOULD BE IN JAIL! The pint size Mallam Nasir Elrufai who confessed to have bugged the phone lines of Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser, NSA, to steal conversations, should immediately be put in jail. In 2021, Elrufai locked up my friend for leaking a conversation he was having with Bashir Sa’idu, his commissioner for Finance, where they planned to kill protesting NLC members. Elrufai through a Magistrate Court order, kept my friend locked up for nearly four months on accusation that his private conversations were leaked. Stephen Kefas, one of the boldest Kaduna freedom fighters during Elrufai’s reign as Governor, was one of those who paid my incarcerated friend a visit. Today, the same Elrufai who was jailing people for leaking his phone conversation, is the same one freely bugging the phone lines of the NSA and boastfully talking about it in public. Elrufai has bugged the phone lines of Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Chibuike Amaechi, and other notable members of the ADC. He hopes to use information from his bugging device to blackmail them in future. That short man devil is indeed the devil in ADC! That demystified diminutive Kaduna loud mouth should be immediately arrested and thrown in jail. That short man devil cannot all of a sudden become a “freedom fighter” overnight after all the atrocities he put the good people of Kaduna through. Governor Uba Sanni is doing a good job dwarfing the dwarf in all indices!

NATIONAL ASSEMBLY MUST ALLOW FOR ELECTRONIC COLLATION! Nigeria must allow for electronic collation of elections results. Anything short of that amounts to tarnishing the credibility of the electoral process. Nigeria’s democracy becomes strengthened when the processes of electing leaders are seen to be credible. The National Assembly must do the right things and allow for electronic collation of results. And the idea of using the Form EC8A to serve as the primary means of result collation in the event of internet failures, leave rooms for manipulation. INEC must be provided with the necessary tools to keep internet connectivity safe and active!

BOLA TINUBU AND HIS GRUMBLING MINISTERS If you are not happy serving the Bola Tinubu’s Government, quit now. It is wrong to be serving a Government you don’t believe in and be pretending to be in sync with it. The intention is to fix Nigeria and her many broken down system and not to fix your emotions and personal interests. Stop grumbling or ship out.

At First HoldCo we decided to clean house properly. We took a huge one time hit of ₦748bn to admit old bad loans instead of pretending they do not exist. That is why profit looks like it crashed by 92%. Painful headline, but it is a serious long term move.

THAT EMBARRASSING CONFUSION WITH AMBASSADORIAL POSTING It is either the Foreign Affairs Minister, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, doesn’t know his job or the people around the President creating confusion. How would Ambassador designates be posted to any country without an Agreemo. An agreemo is a memorandum from one nation to another agreeing to the appointment of an ambassador or envoy. This memo, as at the time the Ambassador designates were named or posted, was not done. Typically, countries take up to seven months to either grant or reject an Agreemo. Something is definitely not right. Amb. Tuggar and other officials in Government need to sit up or ship out. This embarrassment is one too many already!

SPEAKER OBASA AND THE N68BILLION LAWMAKERS HOUSING BUDGET SCANDAL In the 2026 Lagos state Budget of N4.44trillion, Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, carefully inserted a N68billion budget to purchase houses in Abuja for Lagos Lawmakers, a scandal that was quietly cooked in his office with some members of his kitchen cabinet. From the N68billion, each of the 40 Lagos Lawmakers would get approximately N1.7billion to buy a house in Abuja. An arm-twisted Governor Babajide Sanwoolu had no choice but to sign the Lagos budget of scandals. How do you explain the insertion of N68billion into the Lagos budget for the purchase of houses for Lagos Lawmakers. Why should the people’s commonwealth be used to buy houses in far away Abuja for Lagos Lawmakers. For a man who is nursing the ambition to become Governor of Lagos State, every steps Obasa takes, reek of corruption for a man who has been in the State Assembly for over 20yrs

$2BILLION DEBT: APPEAL COURT SACKS WOLE OLANIPEKUN, MUIZ BANIRE, OTHERS FROM REPRESENTING DEBTOR NESTOIL, NECONDE In a ruling delivered this morning the 23rd day of January 2026 in the ongoing Nestoil mounting US$2 Billion debt crisis, the Court of Appeal disqualified Chief Wole Olanipekun SAN and Dr. Muiz Banire SAN and other lawyers appearing with them from acting as counsel to Nestoil and Neconde. Delivering the Ruling, the Justices of the Court of Appeal held that the powers of the Ernest Azudialu-Obiejesi led board of directors to appoint Wole Olanipekun SAN and Banire SAN has been suspended by the Receivership. Accordingly, the Court of Appeal granted the orders to disqualify and suspend Dr. Banire SAN and Chief Wole Olanipekun SAN’s legal representation of Nestoil Limited and Neconde Energy Limited respectively. The Court of Appeal further struck out all processes filed by the law firms. Nestoil’s mounting indebtedness of US$2 Billion to its Lenders in banking circles is said to now exceed the minimum capital requirement of 4 Nigerian Banks with international license but the company (Nestoil) hitherto led by Ernest Obiejesi showed no commitment to repaying this debt while taking steps to dissipate the security for the loan.

NORTHERN ELDERS AND THE UNNECESSARY CRY OVER GOLD REFINERY If a Crude Oil Refinery can be built in Kaduna where there is no single drop of crude oil reserve, why can’t a Gold Refinery be built in Lagos State or anywhere else in Southern Nigeria? The Northern Elders Forum, NEF, should look for something more important to fight for. Other regions in Nigeria should also be allowed to enjoy the enormous mineral resources in the country.

NRS SAYS NO NEW VAT ON BANKING TRANSACTION, TAX APPLIES ONLY TO SERVICE CHARGES The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has dismissed reports suggesting that a new Value-Added Tax (VAT) has been imposed on banking transactions, describing such claims as false and misleading. In a statement issued on Thursday, the NRS clarified that VAT has always applied to service charges, fees, and commissions earned by banks and other financial institutions, stressing that no new tax was introduced under the Nigeria Tax Act. The statement, signed by Dare Adekanmbi, Special Adviser on Media to NRS Chairman, Zacch Adedeji, stated that recent media reports had wrongly given the impression that customers were being subjected to fresh VAT obligations on banking transactions. “The Nigeria Tax Act did not introduce VAT on banking charges, nor did it impose any new tax obligation on customers in this regard,” the statement said. According to the agency, VAT applies strictly to charges for services rendered by banks such as transfer fees, account maintenance charges, USSD fees, card issuance fees, and similar commissions and not to the actual funds being transferred or withdrawn. “The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) wishes to address and correct misleading narratives circulating in sections of the media suggesting that Value Added Tax (VAT) has been newly introduced on banking services, fees, commissions, or electronic money transfers. This claim is categorically incorrect,” the statement added. To illustrate, the NRS explained that where a bank charges ₦10 as a transfer fee, VAT at 7.5 per cent is applied only to that ₦10 service charge, amounting to ₦0.75, and not to the total sum being transferred.

$2BILLION BANK DEBT: NESTOIL, NECONDE, DEMAND $40MILLION REFUND FROM LAWYERS AFTER SUPREME COURT DEFEAT After suffering defeat at the Supreme Court, embattled Nestoil, Neconde have now demanded a refund of $40million paid to their lawyers to secure victory at the apex court, according to an insider. An embattled Nestoil, Neconde and her owners had mobilized and allegedly paid $40million to Wole Olanipekun, Bode Olanipekun, Muiz Banire and Ojukwu Chikaosula to obtain a favorable judgement at the apex court in a case of $2billion debt owed consortium of Banks. The same scheme was used at the Federal High Court when Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, the Chief Judge of Nigeria's Federal High Court, in cohort with the Olanipekuns, Banire and Ojukwu, allegedly collected $5million to vacate an order restraining Nestoil Limited and its affiliates from tampering with their assets following a $1billion debt. The lawyers had assured the embattled oil companies that they can adopt the same scheme at the Supreme Court and save Nestoil and Neconde from paying their debts Having lost the case at the Supreme Court, Nextoil, Neconde and her owners are demanding a refund of the $40million from the lawyers, an insider has said. Nestoil, Neconde and her owners have been attempting to use all manner of schemes to arm-twist the judiciary and escape paying their debts of about $2billion owed consortium of Banks. The Supreme Court has now ordered that aside the case returning to the Appeal court to determine Nestoil, Neconde representation, the troubled oil company must pay their debt.

ALEX OTTI, PETER MBAH AND THE CHILDISH COMPARISON Claiming that Alex Otti as Governor of Abia has collected more money from the FG than Enugu and doing less than Gov. Peter Mbah is childish, and deliberate ignorance . Show us Abia state between 1999-2023 compared to Enugu state between 1999-2023. Abia state was in complete ruins between 1999-2023. And Umuahia and Aba, the state capital and commercial capital were eyesores! Enugu has been the capital of the old Eastern Region with all the paraphernalia of a Capital City. Gov. Mbah is building on a foundation already laid by both the Govt at the center and previous Governments. Otti, on his part, is not only building but also repairing ruins of the past. He is gradually laying a solid foundation for a rapid development of the state and putting state resources where they deservedly need to be. He is not acting like those in the past who used state funds to buy high-end whiskey and fly women to several islands for orgies. You can accuse Otti of any other crimes but certainly not on performance. Those who feel otherwise should make an attempt to return to power and see how Abians would react. Abians are feeling a breath of fresh air and need not be disturbed by the stenches of the past.

THE UNNECESSARY ATTACKS ON ALEX OTTI The unnecessary attacks on the performing Governor Alex Otti is a poorly scripted strategy that would do the attackers no political favors. Nobody can defeat or push Governor Otti out of Abia Government House come 2027. This fact is known to all including the top. The best the attackers can do is work with Otti. That’s all. I will work for Otti to win again in 2027 and continue the developmental process for Abia state and her citizens!
