@SimplyArun @dieworkwear And into the environment. Think @dieworkwear has glossed over the key environmental impact of every wear and wash of synthetics releasing millions of microplastics into waterways. In this particular instance, CO2 is a secondary concern over microplastic shedding.

@dieworkwear Any thoughts on microplastics (that leech into the skin) in synthetic clothing?

You likely already wear synthetic fibers. If your socks were made from pure cotton or wool, they would stretch out or droop over a short period of time (and feel pretty awful).

@dr_woodall I don't care about the wider societal issue when planning my kids education. I want the best school for him and where I am that means paying. I'm not going to compromise his education for virtue signalling.

The private school policy brings out the worst in Labour supporters. The undisguised glee at being able to make life harder not for the super rich (school fees are pocket change to them) but for the middle class. The ones who have typically done better than them through hard work and talent, rather than being born into privilege. It’s a real mask off moment.

Wow, since a brief tweet by @ThomasTalhelm to promote our APS symposium gathered well over a million views in a day, I thought I’d respond to a few questions and comments about the task & the graph, both of which are a part of my PhD dissertation:

I'll be showing Turnip Mountain at more games events soon, so it's about time I made an attract mode! 👀👀 #gamedev

@benz145 As the creator of a top 10 selling Quest app (not game), I can confidently say: no. I imagine Virtual Desktop is the only one that comes close (consistently top-selling in the App section of the store for the last two years), followed somewhat lower down by Les Mills.

Are there any killer apps in VR so far that *aren’t* games? I’m talking about individual apps that have made, say, $100M+ (like Beat Saber and some others).

@nbballou It's both a great paper + a fine example of how research should be done. You deserve maximum praise for it! (... though I'm happy to tag along during the parade)

the study of mine I'm by far proudest of has finally (FINALLY) been published. 🙌 featuring: - platform-wide scraped gaming data - open science/registered report - 6-waves longitudinal - equivalence testing and interpretable null relationships 🔗doi.org/10.1037/tmb000…

Interrupting my twitter hiatus with news that I am #PhDone! Were there ever a time to shamelessly self-promote, I suppose this is it. Thesis goal: Clarify how games affect mental health, positively and negatively, with unified theory, rich behavior data, and transparent methods.

Question for fellow Game Developers: Has there been any instance of presenting/marketing a game as potentially the 1st chapter of more (=DLCs or free updates), dependent on interest (i.e., sales performance)? Are there any examples on Steam or elsewhere that come to mind?
